Comments about Novara Rail Double Bike Shorts - Men's:
These shorts made my rear end really happy. They are a very durable and breathable quick dry material and the padding is in just the right spot.
I did find that I was a bit suprosed by the roominess of the fit. I ordered the XL being that I wear size 40 pants/shorts and found that they are a bit on the loose side int h waist.
They do have elastic straps that can be tightened and velcroed into place to adust the waist, but there is not enought adjustment there for me. However, I think a size L would hav ebeen a bit too small.
The shorts are quite comfortable though and show no signs that you have a padded groin area. They look like regular shorts on the body and I look forward to riding a lot more with them.
Service and delivery comments:
Super fast delivery and adequately packaged in a simple plastic shipping bag.
I hate when a single clothing item shows up in a big box.

Comments about Novara Rail Double Bike Shorts - Men's:
I have used these shorts most every day commuting to work for the last year and put over 7,000 miles on them. They are holding up incredibly well. I love them. I love having some decent looking shorts that I can wear in normal public. They don't look like bike shorts. I love the two pockets with zippers that easily fits a my wallet. I love the separate Velcro pocket that holds my skinny flip phone. They are fairly comfortable
They do trap the heat and sweat, but I only have one other set of shorts that I don't like wearing so I can't make an accurate judgment if they are warmer than other shorts of this nature. I don't notice they are holding sweat until I take them off though.
While there is nothing wrong with the shorts, there is one thing that I would change to make them even better.
The waist adjustment uses an elastic band and Velcro. Not sure why they didn't go with some sort of drawstring type solution. The fuzzy part of the Velcro is fairly short so the adjustment is basically one position. I have thinned up a bit and would like to adjust the waist a bit skinnier but you really can't. If these fit you will never think of adjusting them. If they get loose, you can adjust only so far and then will likely have to get a size down. I am going to try sewing some additional fuzzy Velcro on them to see if that will help them get a bit snugger. Or eat more hamburgers.
This is a quality product, and I'm hoping they go on sale again before I try the next size down.

Comments about Novara Rail Double Bike Shorts - Men's:
Best bike shorts I've owned. I've tried a few different baggy shorts, including Pearl Izumi, that weren't as comfortable as these. The sewn-in inner short stays put without feeling too tight, unlike those removable inner shorts that bunch up when you ride. The outer material is just the right combination of form-fitting and loose, and would make these shorts fine for longer rides.

I ride to work everyday in New Orleans. These are comfortable, durable and deal with the nasty thick weather quite well. My only 'con' would be they only come in one color. If more were offered, I would buy more pairs no problem.

Comments about Novara Rail Double Bike Shorts - Men's:
I've been using these shorts now for a couple of years for my daily commute to work, (and sometimes further afield), and they have proven themselves to be a very worthy investment during that time.
The compression layer does a wonderful job of creating a flat surface with no "bunching", (of course you wear them "commando" style), and have plenty of absorbency to keep from chaffing.
They look good, in fact just like ordinary crew pants, so stopping off at a store shouldn't be an ordeal :).
All in all recommended.

Foam insert in shorts is far worse than nothing. Creates hotspots, sore spots, chafing. Makes ride a misery.

Comments about Novara Rail Double Bike Shorts - Men's:
Nice shorts. Like others....I don't like riding around looking like I am in a race. I simply ride for fun, usually alone, I don't even own a proper "riding jersey"....t-shirts for me. Got addicted to shorts with a chamois, used to wear them under my board shorts when i'd ride...these are basically the same thing with some advantages and one small disadvantage. The padding did not feel quite as substantial when i first got on the bike...the one small disadvantage.... but after a few miles I honestly felt fine and was not "sore" at all during my first short 10mi ride in them, may have just been initial sensitivity from a ride yesterday since I am just starting up after some time off. The great thing is with the texture of the shorts and the integrated liner/padding, these feel much more comfortable overall than my old "shorts-over" method. The pockets are great, I am 100% happy with my purchase. If they tear apart after using them a few times I'll change my review....but they seem to have a pretty good reputation for durability...hopefully that proves true.
Size seems to be pretty accurate....and there is a velcro waist adjustment behind the elastic band in the back. When I first put mine on they felt tight but once I found the adjustment all was good. I thought I read a previous reviewer had issue with waist size and wanted adjustment....hopefully he found it.

like Zoolander, these shorts are "really , really good looking". Great pockets. For the 99% of us that aren't racing the Pyranese, ditch the spandex and get some. Great for road, trail and bike path. And you won't look like a dork when you stop to buy a gatorade.
I have 2 suggestions though - take with a grain of salt because I totally disregarded the size chart I got an L out of habit (I'm 6'0, 33" waist). I prob should have got an M. That being said, the L's work for me and fit everywhere but the waist, but an internal belt or belt loops would give them a wider fit range.
Also I find the pad pretty darn bulky, definitely bigger than what you see in spandex road shorts. Again probably my fault for buying too big. Hopefully it will compress a bit.

Awesome Shorts!
Fit great, don't budge at all while riding.
Crotch doesn't catch when moving in front of or behind saddle. Look brand new after several wrecks.
