Comments about Novara Exposure Double Bike Shorts - Men's:
I bought these shorts for commuting, and mountain biking. I've had them for 10 months. I tried them on in the store, and the mediums fit better in the legs, but were too tight in the waste. The larges are a little baggy in the legs, and the waste is way too big. They are cut pretty square, and don't have any sort of elastic in the waste to gather the extra material. I sewed belt loops on, and I use a webbing strap to hold them up. That works very well, and solves the fit problem. The other problem is that they are the hottest, sweatiest cycling shorts I've ever owned. I really wish it wasn't true because from what I can tell all of the Novara shorts have the same padding system. It makes the shorts hard to wear when the temperature goes past 70, and even under that they are hot and wet by the end of a ride.
For this much money you can find a much better pair of shorts. If the price was significantly lower they might be a good deal, but I might still take a pass on them.

Comments about Novara Exposure Double Bike Shorts - Men's:
I like these so much I bought a second pair so I'd have another color.
Personally, I'm not into the snug-fitting shorts and jerseys I see so many cyclists wearing. I much prefer looser-fitting jerseys (like the Novara Marco) and wanted more modest and looser-fitting shorts as well. These provide everything I want in a cycling short - good padding, good fit, and a nice assortment of pockets (something I particularly don't like about the form-fitting shorts). I'm not a mountain-biker; I've worn these on long-ish (40-50 mile) rides in some hot weather this summer. The shorts breathe well and I haven't had any problems with the shorts being unusually wet from sweating. The padding seems to be as good as anything I had previously bought in form-fitting shorts (like Pearl Izumi or Giordani).
I knew when I was buying these that the liner was sewn-in. It would have been nice if the liner was removeable but I can't ding my rating since I knew what I was buying. If I later decide I don't want the liner, I can simply cut it out.
All-in-all, well worth the price I paid. I'd buy a third pair if they came in three colors!

Comments about Novara Exposure Double Bike Shorts - Men's:
Originally bought the XL but that was much too big. Exchanged it for the L which was just a tad too close around my legs, but the waist was still too large.
Had to keep pulling up the shorts every time I stopped at an intersection.
Padding is very good though.

Comments about Novara Exposure Double Bike Shorts - Men's:
I bought these shorts to commute and to mountain bike. I bought them online, and made the assumption that the liner was removable, rather than integrated. So single purpose shorts--but they are good shorts, used them a half dozen times. Good materials of construction and quality. The padding liner is rather foamy, but does it's job.

I got these to use in shorter club rides and general riding around.
They feel fine until I get on my bike. After I get on my bike, they seem too short in the back. I feel the need to pull them up constantly.
I had hoped for better than this. You can find other shorts that fit better for the same or less money. I certainly wouldn't buy these again.

Comments about Novara Exposure Double Bike Shorts - Men's:
I bought these shorts for commuting to work. the padding, the pockets and the breath-ability are all great but not great enough to overcome the downfalls. the elastic waistband is not very elastic, I have a typically large sized waist (+/_ 34") and these are more for a 36", they don't stay up, plus the elastic shifts around every time I wash them and finally the fabric ripped between the waist and the hip after about 3 time using and washing them. right idea, wrong construction

Comments about Novara Exposure Double Bike Shorts - Men's:
I got these for use around town, commuting etc and other times when I don't want to show up in traditional bike shorts. The look of these shorts is very nice, but the design was all wrong for me. These are very large waisted relative to the leg length and size, and there is no means of tightening the waist. Coupled with the cutaway design of the liner in the front, on me they just don't stay up. Also, the chamois in these is very thick and wide, and is what I call a diaper chamois - you're just very aware that you're sitting on this massive thing, and walking around it feels like you're straddling a saddle. You get the gist ... Like any shorts it's all a matter of
personal fit and preference, but for me these were just really bad.
