I'm old enough that I don't think I look great in tight pants. I wanted shorts with a casual, every day wear look. These fill the bill.

I got the off white color thinking it would reflect heat. The pants are very cool, but I think it's because the fabric breathes so well. White is not offered any more and maybe that's good. No fault of the shorts, but the black from my saddle comes off on the fabric. It does not look good to have a dingy bum and does not wash out easily either.

I mentioned that there is a little noise from the shorts. That's because the outer shorts move independently or the chamois when pedaling, so there is slight fabric rubbing sound. I have used these shorts for rides up to 40 miles and they are great.

The chamois is quit comfortable too and seems to be durable. I ridden over 1,000 miles in these shorts and they are good to go for another season.

These were my first pair of bike specific shorts that I have purchased and I love them. I thought it would be weird having a padded liner between my legs, but honestly it's very comfortable and you forget it's there and it makes the ride much more comfortable. I ride my mountain bike on plenty of rocky, rooted singletrack and the padding helps keep things protected if you know what I mean. The shorts are made of a nice synthetic that dries quickly, resists staining, and has plenty of deep pocket space. I actually rode a trail recently with a bike tool in one of the pockets and never noticed it. The liner is separate, so you have the option of wearing it with other shorts or removing it and just using the outer. Either way, these are great shorts and I'm glad I bought them.

I purchased a pair of these shorts three years ago. One year after that I purchased another pair. This past week I got a third pair. Why? They work. These shorts are comfortable, fit well, well made and have a really nice liner that is removable. I was weary at first as I normally but $90 Pearl Izumi elite shorts for racing and long rides. But to tell you the truth, I like these much better for normal rides and more epic adventures. The four pockets are great when I am off the bike. I was also worried about the seat snagging, which they have never done. This is a great, simple short that is good looking, comfortable and does it's job. One other thing I like is the removable liner. I have used the shell over top my high end shorts when I am on longish rides and they do the trick.
