The REI Evaporator Single ski bag uses mesh panels to help dry your skis during transport.

Fits a pair of skis up to 191cm in length and a pair of ski poles; substantial polyester fabric offers padded protection from the hard knocks of transit
Mesh panels and grommet openings promote air circulation and moisture drainage
Compression straps on outside of bag secure your skis; also use the them to secure the folded-over end of the bag when you're carrying shorter skis
Nylon webbing carry handles with padded hand strap ease transport
The REI Evaporator Single ski bag is constructed with rugged 600-denier polyester and beefy zippers to last many seasons

I used the 2009-2010 version of this bag. It is a great value for what it does. Keeps by car protected from my skis, and my skis protected from bumps, scratches, etc. It has been great when I have taken buses or larger group ski trips, when tons of gear (including some skis not in bags) gets piled up. My skis emerged unscathed. Fits poles as well. I have used it primarily for downhill skis, 177 cm, with big bindings and there is plenty of room. It is not padded, and if I were flying, I might want to rent a hard case. But for all other travel, this is an excellent bag.

The pole sleeves are sometimes tricky with poles that have a stickier rubber grip. If I bring such poles, I just put them in the main compartment and not in their sleeves.

Great bag for my XC Ski's and poles. Keeps them protected in the back of my truck. Nice padding and the vents are great for melting the snow build up. I also purchased the matching boot bag. Love the set.

I bought this to carry my skis when I traveled by air. After just two round trips the mesh was torn, I guess because of repeated contact with the bindings. The bag itself also showed a lot of wear. While it hadn't worn through, I don't think it would last too many more round trips.

If you don't travel by air this is a fine bag for just carrying skis.

Also -- my poles don't fit inside the little pouches for them inside the bag. Those pouches seem tiny IMO.

Great product. I bought this REI Evaporator Ski Bag several years ago and am very satisfied with it. Works great for putting skis inside your car/SUV instead of exposed on top. After a day on the slopes just put your skis in the evaporator bag and much of the moisture can/does evaporate. The bag is waterproof & protects the inside of vehicle. There are 2 sleeves inside the bag for your poles. Due to minimum padding I wouldn't use this bag for airline travel, but it is perfect for trips to & from the slopes.
