Highly breathable and wonderfully flexible nylon mesh uppers feature nubuck leather toecaps, trim and heels for great looks and lasting comfort
Leather is sourced from tanneries that strive to minimize harmful effects on the environment caused by its activities
Pigskin leather lines toe pockets and heels while open mesh lines rest of shoes for an exceptionally airy feel
Anatomically-shaped, leather-topped footbeds feature 20% recycled EVA to cushion feet and offer light support
EVA midsoles are made from 20% recycled EVA and feature Air Cushion Plus units under heels to maximize all-day comfort and cushioning

This shoe fit comfortably from the first time I tried it on. The shoe is very light ---so that it feels like you are barefoot. My only concern is whether the Nubuck leather will stain easily. I intend to spray it with leather protector. More dressy than a sandal, but just as comfortable.

Wonderful shoe. So light and comfortable. It takes only a day to break in, and the breaking in process is really minimal. The mesh allows it to breath, so no worrying about stinky feet. I bought a black pair, and now I'm thinking about buying a sable pair as well. It's hard for me to find a pair of comfortable slip-on, and now that I have, I want another pair.

I have been looking for a breathable and comfortable ballet flat and I've finally found one after over a year of very active searching (I'm pretty picky about things being comfortable as I tend to get pain in the little bunions behind my pinky toes and I hate it when my shoes get smelly!). These shoes are really flexible and soft and there is no pressure on sensitive bunion areas and no red marks or blisters around the edges; even in the back. I have a very thin foot so I had to choose a smaller size so my heel wouldn't slip out(I was between a 7.5 and an 8) and I haven't had any problems. I have the black and I've been wearing it every day since I've had it for 3 weeks - with jeans, with casual skirts & even slacks to work. I've just ordered a second pair and a third one in retro khaki (only on the patagonia website) in case they stop making this soon! The mesh part just looks like fabric from afar and looks pretty stylish while keeping your feet cool. The sole is just the right size and this shoe keeps my foot pretty stable and it does not slide around or tend to any one side. I was even able to put Smartfeet inserts (size C) inside the 7.5's but they are a little wider than the shoe so it reduces the space inside but it works if your feet are thin and if they are a tad shorter than the shoe. I recommend this!

Wow! These are great shoes. They are light, airy, comfortable AND pretty stylish for what they offer. Perfect for shoes to wear to/from work or or pack on a trip.

The con I mentioned is that they are not meant for cold weather-- they are mesh so air moves through them. This isn't really a con though, can be a plus if that is what you are looking for.

I'm an avid hiker and needed a light-weight, compact shoe to use at base camp, so I could get out of my hiking boots. I'm doing the Yosemite loop in July, a 49 mile hike up the back country, and I needed a shoe to carry in my backpack that weighed almost nothing. This was a perfect shoe for me. It's comfortable and good for casual wear too. I love it. I'm thinking of buying another pair in Brown.
