Just in time for summer, the Patagonia Maha Breathe ballet-style shoes are nearly all mesh, offering high breathability without skimping on great looks.
- Highly breathable and wonderfully flexible nylon mesh uppers feature nubuck leather toecaps, trim and heels for great looks and lasting comfort
- Leather is sourced from tanneries that strive to minimize harmful effects on the environment caused by its activities
- Pigskin leather lines toe pockets and heels while open mesh lines rest of shoes for an exceptionally airy feel
- Anatomically-shaped, leather-topped footbeds feature 20% recycled EVA to cushion feet and offer light support
- EVA midsoles are made from 20% recycled EVA and feature Air Cushion Plus units under heels to maximize all-day comfort and cushioning
- Rubber outsoles offer everyday traction with little bulk

I'm a teacher so I am very picky about having comfortable shoes. I usually wear pretty big clunky comfy shoes just so my feet don't kill me at the end of the day. I was a bit worried about buying such flat shoes, but my big clunkers just wouldn't cut it with a skirt or dress. I was so pleased after wearing these for the first day that my feet still felt great by the end of the day! I have worn them at least a couple days a week and they continue to support my feet well. I have also received numerous comments about how cute they are, and they go well with leggings, pants, dresses, and skirts. They have been great with the warm weather as my feet don't get sweaty or stinky. The only thing I am not 100% happy about (and why I didn't give a full 5 stars) is that they already seem to be scuffing and wearing out quicker that I would expect for this price and a Patagonia product. But overall, love them!

Really cute shoe (I liked them because of the two tones of brown). I've used them for work and a casual night out. Very comfortable and the mesh material makes them super breathable. I have a really narrow foot so these are a great fit for me, however, they might seem too narrow for someone with a wider foot. I have not worn them a ton, but they seem like they will stain fairly easily so I've been really careful not to wear them when it rains.

I love these flats! I have tried so many different kinds over the years, and they all make my feet reek becasue they don't breathe. These flats have a mesh part that allows your feet to breathe. There was absolutely no "break in" time. They fit right away and never hurt my feet. No blisters or strange place that they rub. Awesome product.

These are the best shoes I have ever invested in. I have the brown pair and have had them for almost a year. I bought them before I traveled abroad to Italy for a year. They withstood the cobblestone mess of streets, casual hiking, unexpected rain, the beach and are the BEST travel/airplane shoes. I am so impressed by how well they have stood up, no stains, no rips, no cracks. They are so comfortable and go with so many things. I think when I get back to the states I'm going to buy a black pair.

I got these in black. I've been looking for a comfortable and simple ballet flat for work, and this ended up being perfect. It fits well and offers a lot of support, plus it's breathable, so I don't end up with stinky sweaty feet, which happens with a lot of other flats.
I'd definitely buy shoe polish and leather protector. At the REI store, the one on display had turned a weird green color.
I normally wear a size 10, but I had to go a half size smaller.

I purchased these shoes a few weeks before going on a 3 week trip backpacking around Europe. I wanted something that would go with lots of outfits (from dressy to casual) but also comfortable enough to walk in all day. Also, since I was carrying everything on my back, I was limited in the number of shoes I could take (only took these and a pair of tennis shoes for hiking). These were perfect. They fit well and look good with jeans or dressier clothes. I can also wear them to work. They don't have a ton of support for your foot, so if you are looking for that you should not get these shoes. I also like that they are enclosed but the mesh lets your feet breathe, so they are good in a range of temperatures. As far as size, I wear a 9 and they seemed to fit exactly as I expected.

I'm an avid hiker and needed a light-weight, compact shoe to use at base camp, so I could get out of my hiking boots. I'm doing the Yosemite loop in July, a 49 mile hike up the back country, and I needed a shoe to carry in my backpack that weighed almost nothing. This was a perfect shoe for me. It's comfortable and good for casual wear too. I love it. I'm thinking of buying another pair in Brown.
