        I really like these boots. They keep my feet warm and dry and look good too. Not sure why so many people had problems with these boots.

        My only complaints:
        Can be hard to get on and off
        Could be a more softer but if you wear good socks its less of an issue

        Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

              I bought these for my brother, just in time for Snowmegeddon last year. They've lasted him the season, but the heel pull came off immediately as he was tring to put them on. He only uses it for casual walking, probably 2-3 miles a day, but they don't look like they will last him beyond this year's snow.

              Not a good investment.

              I recently moved up to Oregon from LA and needed a water-proof boot for walking the dog.I had read some unfavorable reviews about Sorel in regards to there build quality but chose to ignore them,my bad.I,ve had them 2 months now,using them to walk a very old day twice a day.We are lucky to make it 2 house's before we turn around ,so I have about 5 miles max on these.The sides on both have split,seems the glue is weak & how the heel pull has just pulled off.
              On a positive note,as these are made of rubber they are water-proof to about 5" of water,like a very short Wellington
