Comments about Sorel Conquest Winter Boots - Men's:
I really like these boots, they are extremely comfortable and very warm. The only drawback is sometimes they leak a little bit. Not always, but sometimes when they are submerged in a puddle or stream I get a little water in the boot. All in all I recommend them.

Best winter boots I have bought! Warm in -20 weather. Perfect.

Comments about Sorel Conquest Winter Boots - Men's:
I just got back from my second winter outing with these boots. I chose them over the Caribou because of the better fit. The Caribou is big and warm with the removeable liner but feels a little clumbsy for snowshoeing. These worked well with my snoeshoes and don't feel as cumbersome when hiking. Also very warm and when hanging around the campsite can be loosened to give that extra room for warm air to circulate around your feet. Curious though, some places the specs say -60 and other places they say -40? We all know temp ratings are bogus but at 0 my usually cold feet were warm.

Comments about Sorel Conquest Winter Boots - Men's:
We've been on 5 snowshoeing trips so far this winter, and the "warmest" was this past weekend at 28F.
These boots needed some break-in, but were reasonably comfortable out of the box.
The heel strap stop is a fairly common feature in winter boots, but it's well placed. Since we've only recently moved back to the mountains, We've been renting and demoing snowshoes try several out before buying, and these Sorels have played well with everything from big touring shoes to light-and-fast plastic race shoes.
My feet have stayed warm and dry in deep snow even down to -2f, and the built-in gaiter has certainly come in handy.
I'd highly recommend these boots. While I've only had them about a month, they've been worn almost daily, and so far seem to be holding up well.
The only issue is the ankle support strap. I've not noticed a major increase in support by tightening it, and it seems to loosen on it's own quite easily. Note, I have not used these carrying a significant load.

Comments about Sorel Conquest Winter Boots - Men's:
I read a lot of reviews before purchasing these boots and I felt like it was a sound purchase. I have used these boots quite a bit in snowy, slushy, and cold conditions and they have not failed me yet. My feet have been warm while using regular socks and stayed dry even in heavily slushy conditions. I couldn't be more pleased with my purchase and I would recommend these boots to anyone. My only difficulty is that they are a little tough to tie and get tight, but not a show stopper by any means.

Comments about Sorel Conquest Winter Boots - Men's:
I purchased these boots the first year they came on the market, probably at least 10 years ago. I live in Wisconsin, and I have worn them in deep snow and extreme cold. They have kept my feet warm and dry. Absolutely no complaints. My only knock on these boots is that for me, they are not comfortable enough for long trail hiking. The reason for this is that the heel fit is too loose to provide good ankle support. I have found this to be the case with any pack style boot I have owned. Other than that, they have been excellent boots. Buy a pair. You'll be glad you did!

Comments about Sorel Conquest Winter Boots - Men's:
I don't right many reviews, but I was reading some of the reviews in this review list and I was scratching my head... This is a great boot for the money. I use these only on snowy days. Primarily for trekking through the woods, snow blowing and getting around during and after a good snow storm. They are bulky, they are clunky, but they are very comfortable, keep my feet dry and I can keep them on for hours. I have recommended them to several friends, they all purchased them and they all agree that they are the best snow boot in the line up.

Comments about Sorel Conquest Winter Boots - Men's:
I read a lot of reviews that talked about difficult entry and sore ankles. They are true. The entry is difficult and there was one area that really irritated my ankle. I have only worn them a few times so I hope they just need to be broken in a little. Over all it is a stylish boot with good snow traction.

Comments about Sorel Conquest Winter Boots - Men's:
I can't speak as to the waterproofness of these boots as I have yet to see the snow or rain in them yet. I can however speak to the warmth and comfort, which is excellent. I've worn these boots for an extended period in 20-30F weather without feeling cold at all. I've also walked a fair bit in them and they are extremely comfortable.
