Today I will be returning my third pair of Mindbenders. I love the stability of the shoe but they blow out within a few months. I have never returned a pair of running shoes and I have never returned a pair of running shoes three times. I hope, in the near future, Vasque fixes the problem because I really do like the shoe but the quality is too poor.

I use these shoes for jogging and walking the dog. These shoes are quite comfortable and offer excellent support for pronation. On the contrary, it's been my experience that Vasques wear out every four to six months, so these shoes can be expensive when you have to replace them every time.

Bought these to use in Peru (during rainy season) and Ecuador. Have used walking cobblestone streets (comfortable, good traction, waterproof) and hiking muddy, slippery trails, climbing ruins,walking on hot rocks, etc. Has performed really well and is comfortable and light weight and breathable but still waterproof.

I've had these shoes for about 4 months and for me they have been a terrific all-around adventure and travel shoe: heavy miles on pavement, day-hiking trails up to 10 miles or so, wet conditions, travel, work. I switch among shoes but have worn these about 20 miles a week since getting them, with essentially no sign of any wear so far, so I've had the opposite experience of the person who had repeated blow-outs. The main reasons I really like these shoes and would buy them again: extremely lightweight for how tough they are, great support and cushioning on rocky trails or pavement, grippy, great protection in water/mud/stream crossings, and versatility. On most short trips I could easily do with these and a pair of sandals and be good. While not exactly stylish, they look good and I also wear them to work.

I love the way Vasque trail shoes have fit from past purchases, but was having a hard time finding a style to replace my old pair (that I held onto for 5 years!). Finally, I found this pair on clearance and have been very pleased with the fit, quality, and comfort. I wear them to work all the time (since I walk most days) and have worn them hiking several times too. They breathe really well, especially for Gore-Tex, and they are fashionable also! I highly recommend this pair of shoes for hiking, walking, trail-running & everyday wear!

I have found these to be great shoes, and just ordered two more pairs. I walk A LOT, and have a host of foot issues including pronation, bunions, tendon issues and more. Combined, issues cause me to be limited mostly to walking/running/hiking shoes. I mainly walk, rather than run; and walk mostly on pavement. For years I have worn a couple of other very popular brands for my "light" shoe option, and have found both to wear quickly both in the sole, as well as the interior in the area of the heel. Most often shoes do not last any more than 6 months before needing to be replaced. I have worn these for at least 6 months now, and have very little sign of wear. I can see wear on the sole, but am nowhere near wearing down; and I have zero wear in the usual spots on the inside. As is, i will not need to replace these for a few months; but since I have never found a pair that lasts this long (for my uses)I have just ordered two more pairs to have in reserve.
I cannot attest to the waterproof factor, for even though I live in Oregon, I have NOT worn these much in the rain yet, as I have heavier light-hikers that I wear for walking the dog in heavy rain.
Overall I would highly recommend these shoes.
