Waterproof, vulcanized natural rubber uppers are flexible and built on orthopedic lasts to offer the legendary Hunter fit
Shaft circumference is 15.5 in. and based on size 7; measurement is for the outside of the boot shaft and, in general, the internal measurement is roughly 1 in. shorter
Classic buckles allow you to tighten boot tops, helping to keep the elements out

I love the idea of good-looking rain boots! While I hesitated and debated for a year about paying so much for boots that I will only wear when it is rainy, I am glad that I finally did. I love the merlot color (and prefer it to the bright red; I find it to be more versatile), and have received many compliments while wearing them already. While others have complained that the calves are narrow, they luckily fit me perfectly. I am 5'6" and 120 lbs with thin, but still muscular calves, and I can wear the boots with skirts or with skinny jeans....and even with a pair of legwarmers or over the knee socks. I wore them in the slush/show in the midwest, and found them to be best with two pairs of socks (one thin, one thick). Otherwise, my feet were cold. I wear a size 7-7.5, and I ordered the 7, which I can wear with normal or thick socks. I'll probably buy the fleece liners eventually to make them better for winter.

I wear size 7 and ordered a pair of size 7. It feels big initially, but with socks it is ok. Fit is roomy all around feet and feel snug in the calf area after tucking in my straight leg jean. I am a slim person (5'6" and 110 lbs), so I don't have a big calf. The style of the boot looks sophisticated, really like the appearance. It is well made with good sturdy rubber, but at the same time feels a bit stiff in the front around ankle area when I walk. It may also due to the roomy foot bed. The Tretron tall boot I bought a few days earlier is much softer and fitted in comparison. It also looks good and has fleece lining inside. For comfort and fit reason, I would give up the Hunter and return it this time.

Since I'm a true 7.5 thought an 8 would fit more comfortably, rouding them up rather than down. But I was wrong purchased an 8 had to return to get a 7, it is run a size larger. Overall love this boots but similar to other's people complaint the calf run small, an inch too small with my skinny jeans. I do not have humongous half, however they do fit snuggly, circumference is about 14" This boots is warm, water resistant and versatile.

I borrowed a friend's pair of dark green Hunter boots in size 8 to walk around NYC on a snowy, slushy day. My feet are narrow and get cold easily, so I was nervous about wearing what looked like stylish galoshes all day, but my feet stayed warm and dry. I bought a pair for myself in Aubergine recently, and will check back in about how they hold up, but my friend's pair were years old and were still beautiful. These boots are not cheap, but the sole has great traction, the material is extremely high quality, and the toe box has a bit of protection built in as well. I typically wear an 8.5, and have shoes in both 8 and 9. I bought size 8 and they fit perfectly. Great investment ... these are boots I actually find myself making excuses to wear.

Beautiful, classic rain boots. I have them in lava orange, and they never fail to get compliments. The fit, however, is less than satisfactory. The shaft is so tall and narrow that they gouge my (admittedly low-to-the-ground) knees, and my average-girth calves just squeeze in. There is barely room for socks, and definitely no room for jeans to be tucked in. I would love to purchase the fleece liners that you can get, but there isn't enough room in the shaft for one more layer-- so there is no chance that I can wear them in the snow. I wear them with tights and dresses in the rainy spring and fall.

Beautiful, classic rain boots, for women with long and extra-slender legs.

I BOUGHT THESE BOOT IN NON-GLOSSY BLACK AND HAVE WORN THEM YEAR ROUND IN THE PACIFIC NORTHWEST. THEY KEEP YOU SO WARM AND THEY PROTECT YOU FROM THE WET CONDITIONS, DIRT, YOU NAME IT! THEY ARE SO EASY TO CLEAN BY RINSING OFF WITH SOAP AND WATER. I LOVE THE LOOK OF THEM AND HAVE GOTTEN NUMEROUS COMPLIMENTS WHEN WEARING THEM WITH JEANS AND LEGGINGS. THEY ARE SO VERSATILE WEATHER YOUR RUNNING EARANS OR WORKING IN THE YARK OR GETTING YOUR CAR OUT OF THE SNOW! I FOUND THEM A GREAT INVESTMENT!
