I paddle year around and this jacket works perfectly for cool/cold outings. I especially like the twin waist feature. It works perfectly with my spray skirt. Although the hood keeps the rain and spray off it is pretty large and takes some time to get used to. The wrist cuffs do an excellent job of keeping the water out, but they were so tight that they almost cut off circulation. I solved this by trimming about half an inch off each cuff. They still keep the water out, but are now comfortable. If you are on the water in cold weather this is jacket is a must.

I found this to be an extremely well thought out jacket - only complain is that I wish the wrist-boots were velcro adjustable like the neck. It is hard to get on and off with the wrist boots. they keep the water out of your sleeves, but are difficult to remove.

I love the neck boot- usually I find them uncomforatble and strangling. This one is adjustable and feels great when snugged up.

Pockets were well placed. Double waist boot is great for a over/under skirt.

I have not tried it, but expect I could swim in this jacket. Important should the need ever arise. Also expect I could use the sleeves as an emergency floatation... again, haven't tried, but from appearances, seems plausible.
