    I have three kids, 10 year old twin boys and 12 year old daughter. All jumped right on and paddled off, no problems. Obviously this really isn't intended for serious trips or swift water, but as an introduction it is perfect. It was not intimidating or frustrating, I recommend this to any parent looking to get their kids comfortable on the water. Advice: order the kids Dragonfly paddle with it, it is really sturdy and worth the $20.

      My 5 and 7 year old boys love these. Perfect for the lake and river (small rapids). They can carry them themselves and the paddles are great and light.

      This was a good kayak for an intro to kayaking and paddling in general. My 10 year old loves it but he is out growing it now which is good because his 8 year old sister wants it and I have a 3 year old waiting. It does not track well so the paddling is not as efficient. It does fit in our minivan with one side of seats folded down which makes it somewhat easy to take to the lake. I can see where it could be fun on the waves at the beach.
