I have had this kit for about 5 years now. So I do have the "older version" of it. In that time, I have made good use of it on many an occasion and very rarely found it to be lacking anything. The quality of the components in it are defiantly hospital grade, not cheap dollar store bits. As with any kit though it is not going to be 100% perfect, everyone has different needs. Over the years I have added a few small items to it whenever I found myself needing something not in here. A digital thermometer, Alleve (I am allergic to Aspirin), Super Glue (emergency field stitches!), and a few other small items. The price for this kit though with the quality of what is included, would be impossible to beat! Adventure Medical makes amazing kits! I am going to be getting a few more items added to this for a trip to South America. Maybe even pick up one of their International Traveler kits.
