The REI Member Dividend
The REI dividend is a unique benefit of membership in the REI co-op. It's comprised of your member refund—typically 10% back on eligible purchases—and/or your REI Visa® card rebates.
Each March, active REI members and REI Visa cardholders who earned a rebate receive a refund in the form of an annual dividend notice.
Only active members receive annual dividend notices. To maintain your active status as an REI member, you need to make net merchandise or shipping purchases of at least $10 per year, unless you joined that year. Member numbers are issued in one name and only that person receives the member refund. Your number can be used by others in your family, but it cannot be transferred to someone else.

Comments about SIGMA SPORT BC2209 STS MHR Heart Rate / Cadence Bike Computer - Wireless:
I like this enough that I bought a second one.
This computer is very easy to read and the combination of HR monitor and cadence really helps with conditioning and pacing. I picked up the dock and the logging software too which allows me to track my workouts and mileage.
I put both sensors on the rear wheel and it works great. Wish it had a single sensor unit... but that would not be as easy to adapt to alternative setups.

Comments about SIGMA SPORT BC2209 STS MHR Heart Rate / Cadence Bike Computer - Wireless:
I am training for a 200 mile road ride mid June for MS. I have 200 miles on my Sigma right now and love it.
The only thing I want to get is the docking station.

Comments about SIGMA SPORT BC2209 STS MHR Heart Rate / Cadence Bike Computer - Wireless:
First one I bought got knocked off and went into a storm drain. Thus my only complaint is that the head unit disconnects from the base a bit too easily. On the other hand, I really like the O-ring component attachment (note that a popular GPS manufacturer now uses O-rings, too) versus the more common and infuriating zip ties.I like the readability, HR and altitude info of the BC2209 so much I bought another. I also got the Sigma Data Center directly from Sigma (REI should offer it), which allows quick and easy downloading of data to my computer with comparison of all distance, speed, HR and altitude info. Data Center really puts the BC2209 over the top in my opinion (it's only [$]).Lastly, Sigma's customer service is the best. I lost the battery cover key and they mailed 2 for free. After a rainy ride, I washed my bike using a bit of water pressure, which bonked the speed sensor. Sigma sent me a new one right away for free. 4 stars because like others, I sometimes have problems with the cadence unit. Appears to be very distance sensitive - could likely use a more powerful magnet. Sigma has a new magnet that goes into the pedal hole on the crankarm - might give that a try next.

Comments about SIGMA SPORT BC2209 STS MHR Heart Rate / Cadence Bike Computer - Wireless:
Performed as expect at a very good price. The only cons that I have is the PC/MAC software. The software is not as intuitive as I would like it. The Stat screen will not let you customize the columns so that You can include your heart rate information. I know it does sound like a big deal but if you are heart training, this information is nice to see as a stat. The other odd thing about the software is it does not download the temperature or at least let you set a default value. It always starts at 32 degrees. I still have hope that Sigma will improve the software interface.

I would like to take 47.36 seconds of your time to let you know how impressed I was with Sigma's costumer service. Too often we call some companies and receive poor service and then we complain for month about it, but we forget to mention the good experience we get. Well, Sigma surly gave me the best. A real, actually living, person picked up the phone after the first one or two rings, then listened to my problem, and fixed it. All that was done within 5 minutes, leaving me in my office smiling like a Cheschire cat to my computer screen. For me, biking without a bike computer is like running naked downtown (Yes I am one of those stats fanatics), so to get this issue resolved that easily was unexpected and VERY appreciated. When I received the thing, I spent 30 minutes reading the instruction and setting it up (the longest part being to find my current altitude on the internet, which you can do very easily here: [@] then got on the bike and saw that everything worked flawlessly. Also, because of this service (and the bike computer general quality), I started talking to the fellow members of my bike club, telling them to buy a Sigma, because they Rock!A million and a half thanks.

Comments about SIGMA SPORT BC2209 STS MHR Heart Rate / Cadence Bike Computer - Wireless:
Product had a low battery indicator when I powered it up.
Had some difficulty putting the cadence sensor onto my Scott carbon frame bicycle. Ended up putting it on the vertical post next to the gearset shifter and using a very strong magnet from another product located on the interior screw of the pedal.
Excellent display shows more info about heart rate and cadence- Worth the extra cost to get these options.
Found this to be the best priced unit for its functionality.

Comments about SIGMA SPORT BC2209 STS MHR Heart Rate / Cadence Bike Computer - Wireless:
I purchased this bike computer for a 350 mile 5-day trip and for trip training. I had zero issues with this as a bike computer. All features worked: Heart rate monitor, speedo, cadence, etc.
This was my first heart rate monitor. I was surprised at how quickly I was able to correlate heart rate with level of effort. I feel that a heart rate monitor alone is an invaluable training tool. Having the heart rate monitor integrated with the bike computer was very convenient, as I had one less "gadget" to manage.
This bike computer made it through 2 months of training and through the 350 mile trip - which was completely on dirt trails - with no issues whatsoever.
I only recently had to change the battery in the chest strap (1 year of heavy use), so battery life has been better than expected.
One thing that really sold me on this bike computer is that I could use the heart rate monitor when hiking, jogging, or using the treadmill. I found this extremely useful, but it leads in to one of my 2 complaints about this bike computer.
For the computer to know it is in "off-bike" mode versus "on-bike" mode, it has to be in the wrist strap, which creates a connection between 2 of the 4 leads on the bottom of the computer. Gently shaking the wrist strap will interrupt the wrist strap connection, causing the computer to completely reset. This was very frustrating when jogging, because one minute the computer showed time elapsed, heart rate, and calories burned, and a moment later everything was reset to zeros. If this was a software setting inside the computer - rather than a connection on the wrist band - this would be much more reliable.
The other issue I had: When wearing the computer on my wrist, I caught it on a door frame and broke one of the two little fingers that hold the computer in to the bracket. It would be great if the "computer to bracket" connection was a bit more durable. I doubt I would have had this issue if I was not wearing the computer as a wrist watch, and on the off-road trip I had no problems with the computer whatsoever, which explains why I rated it as "durable" and "not durable."
I would buy it again, but I would be more careful with it "off-bike." This is a great bike computer with tons of features for a great price.

Comments about SIGMA SPORT BC2209 STS MHR Heart Rate / Cadence Bike Computer - Wireless:
I was not sure if I should get this at first after reading about some problems that people had with this unit(like the heart rate monitor and cadence sensor) after taking it out on a couple of rides everything worked great except the cadence sensor, I was at first very upset since it would read my cadence for a few minutes and then stop. but after adjusting the sensor(its very sensitive as where its placed it has its own sweet spot I guess) I got it to work just fine. Great computer and I love it. Just incase anyone wonders I had to place the sensor slightly behind the magnet yet still having the magnet pass by the upper corner of the sensor(I know thats what the manual says but I had to move slightly further back) hope this helps.
