I've been enjoying the ACE since launch. The size you get used to, my Bolt V2 seems tiny now and I'm spoiled by such a nicely visible screen and find it hard to go back. Workout / intervals, climbs, Strava segments, navigation, music all benefit from the large screen. GPS is very accurate. The multi-touch works well. Screen is clear in direct sun or at night. The bell is convenient and loud enough for people to notice. Airspeed is a gimmick but fun if you're a data nerd. Build quality is great and you can still only use the physical buttons in true Wahoo fashion. Comes with a nice metal mount. Would be 5 stars, but it's frozen while turning on a couple times and required a reboot; however, zero issues while riding. It's new software for their platform unification and they're regularly improving it. And it's pretty heavy. I almost never touch my phone during rides anymore because this is so feature complete and usable for navigation. I'd recommend it if the price is right for you.
Very glitchy. Instead of just working through your phone like earlier models, everything goes through the Wahoo Cloud. Accurately records rides, but the public link for friends and fsmily often does not work. Support is slow. Typically three days to respond.. Nice screen, though.
This is my first GPS navigation device and I am not much for the need to get more gear and especially electronics. Prior I used a route slips or a photocopy of a Thomas guide page with turn directions on the back absent those I just rode were I had been before. Then I joined a club and learned downloading the route is the norm, bikes have batteries, and radar is (really?) necessary. They go the same places but with different turns or starting points. I choose the Wahoo Element for the wind data. A lot of the bicycle youtubers dismissed this new feature has not very useful but I know it is mother nature at her most evil while bicycle. Anyway, the device is simple to navigate I was able to connect it to my phone and load several routes from Ride with GPS. It or the pairing sort of figured it out. So I hit the rode using a route I had previously created on Ride w/GPS just to see how it would navigate it and how well it performed where there is no cell coverage. The mount included is great. It is easy to go through the screens while riding and I prefer using the buttons on the side while riding. Initially, the navigation was accurate, timely, and probably would be useful. I scrolled to the elevation screen and the default setting seemingly is considering an elevation gain of 50ft a climb which is silly. I thought the unit lagged by a few seconds on the locations of several miles and 1000s of feet. Also, on the decent I noticed I had lost navigation prompts and I to get it back I realized I hadn't connected my phone/app to the unit when I started riding. I stopped to accomplished pairing and it was back to telling me to expect to turn, etc. How I find my home the past 25ish years I am now amazed. I chose it because Wahoo seems more focused on delivering coherent line up while Garmin has a lot of numbers and the reviews pro/con on them all
