The REI Member Dividend
The REI dividend is a unique benefit of membership in the REI co-op. It's comprised of your member refund—typically 10% back on eligible purchases—and/or your REI Visa® card rebates.
Each March, active REI members and REI Visa cardholders who earned a rebate receive a refund in the form of an annual dividend notice.
Only active members receive annual dividend notices. To maintain your active status as an REI member, you need to make net merchandise or shipping purchases of at least $10 per year, unless you joined that year. Member numbers are issued in one name and only that person receives the member refund. Your number can be used by others in your family, but it cannot be transferred to someone else.

Comments about Victorinox Teardrop Monosling Bag:
When I read posts regarding safety traveling abroad, I looked at the PacSafe bags. Then a friend recommended that all I needed was a tear drop shaped bag like this one. I tried the bag out, filling it with eyeglass case, MP3 player, and water bottle. All fit fine.
I recently used it as a day-pack in my Spain trip, wearing my jacket over it. I felt safe and comfortable. Meanwhile, I wore a neck wallet to carry my passport, cash, and credit card.

I agree with the review above. She said it perfectly.
I got this so I wouldn't have to lug around a full size back pack at Disneyland.
It does NOT hold alot. I mainly use it to carry my wallet, a small cosmetic purse, keys and my phone, and an occasional Starbuck's sandwich.
The cell phone compartment (in the strap) is for a smaller phone, NOT a larger smartphone, unless you want to try cramming it in there.
If you are looking for something VERy simple, this is it.

Comments about Victorinox Teardrop Monosling Bag:
I got the small overland sling bag years ago and used it for many years until it wore out. I got many many complements on it. I don't do purses. I was then disappointed that I could not find the equivalent bag again. Their new sling is much larger and has far fewer internal compartments and no key fob. It is very good for some things (such as traveling as it can carry an iPad, water bottle, and more in there!), but the larger Overland sling is not good for an everyday bag for me. It is really more of a sling backpack rather than a sling personal bag.
Imagine my joy when I went to REI and found not one but TWO small sling bags: this one and the one by Patagonia. Both are about the same size, have multiple compartments, the all-important key chain holder, and the much-appreciated cell phone pocket on the strap. (As I have an old style phone and not a smart phone, it fits just fine!)
I ended up getting this Victorinox sling bag rather than the Patagonia one (though they were very comparable) because this one was a bit sleeker and simpler looking. As I bring it to work, I decided I'd rather not have obvious compression straps. I also like that the two zippers disappear mostly into small pockets when closed, to make it a bit sleeker and possibly more secure.
I have put an awful lot in that little bag, and I can find everything easily. But if you are expecting to carry an entire backpack's worth of items in there, you will be disappointed. I am not looking to carry an iPad in it (wouldn't fit) nor to strap a jacket on the back.
It is very comfortable. Yes, you can only wear it over one shoulder, but that fitting makes it quite comfortable. Light and comfortable, and it does not move around. No waist strap, but I never used the one on my old bag, either.
I am so happy with this small sling bag I could dance the happy dance. I already recommended these two bags to my mother in law, who has also been looking for a small sling bag like my old one for several years as well.

Comments about Victorinox Teardrop Monosling Bag:
Alright, let's start off by saying DO NOT buy this bag UNLESS you need a SMALL bag to carry around personal items. I can't stress that enough. This bag is a lot smaller than it looks. Think of this as a "Fanny Pack" for your back. That being said, let's look at the rest of the bag.
I decided to give this bag a try because it looked lonely, seeing as it had no reviews and seemed practical enough to carry. Honestly, I have mixed emotions about this bag. Let's start off by looking at the specifications of the bag:
2+ Main Compartments: I'm not sure where the "+" comes into play, unless they're counting the "Cell Phone" pouch, or there are hidden pockets in the bag I'm not aware of. There are two compartments, and to my knowledge, that's it. The main compartment is decently sized, although a game of Tetris is required, with your items, to carry a good amount in said compartment. The description is a bit off, considering they suggest carrying a jacket in this thing. It would have to be a really, REALLY small jacket, to say the least. The second compartment is a little undersized, as well, although it would suffice in carrying I.D.'s and paperwork.
If you're using this bag for anything else, other than traveling (Like a day bag, or something of the sort), consider another bag. That is, of course, unless you need a compact bag.
Durability: I think this category gives the bag it's three star rating. This bag is tough and that can't be denied. The material on this bag feels as though it'll give me years of good use and with the usage it's already undergone, I have to admit, I'm a bit impressed.
Shoulder Strap: Now, it states it has a wire for increased security. Maybe so. On the top half. The adjustable part of the strap doesn't have a wire, to my knowledge, and could probably be cut fairly easily. Another issue on the strap is the "Cell Phone" case. I'm not sure if a cellular phone would fit too well in this pocket, especially the newer (And bigger) smartphones. It would be a really tight fit, to say the least. Any electronic put in this pocket would brace the weight of anything you carry in the bag, seeing as the bag seems to like to find the small of your back, which causes the pocket to rest on the top of your shoulder and in turn, the "curve" of your shoulder. I have adjusted the strap length multiple times, to all lengths, and the outcome always seems the same. Overall, the strap could use some work, and re-measuring.
These are the main complaints I have with the bag, so far, and some of it's merits. I will say that, albeit small, the bag is still functional, especially if you're looking for this size of a bag. The mono-sling feature only allows this bag to be worn in one direction (The strap over your right shoulder), so, if you're looking for a uni-sling bag, this bag isn't for you.
The description aside, the bag can carry a lot of items of smaller nature, and if you pack them correctly, they all fit nicely. If you need a bag to carry around a wallet, camera, spare batteries, maybe some lenses, a flashlight, a small medical kit, I.D's and various other paperwork, all these items can be fitted into the main compartment. You can also throw a water bottle in there, and a couple of snacks, if you're really good at playing "Gear Tetris."
All in all, this is a nice, SMALL, bag to carry around. The mesh on the backside allows the back to breathe, which is a nice feature. The clasp at the front of the strap is also nice, and allows you to throw a few pouches (With belt loops) on, as well, adding to the capacity of the bag (In a sense).
Although smaller than I had imagined, I have plenty of uses for this bag and don't regret my purchase and plan to use it on a daily basis. Considering the price, it's actually not that bad of a bag.
