Comments about Snow Peak Hybrid Summit Cookset:
I bought this cookset to go with my LiteMax Stove. I use it for bicycle touring or just nice afternoon rides. Energy Bars and performance foods only go so far. I prefer hot meals on fall or winter rides. Small enough to fit easily in my Flash 18 pack. Impressed my fellow riders with ease of setup and performance. I would have liked a graduated marking, but otherwise it is perfect.

Comments about Snow Peak Hybrid Summit Cookset:
I wanted to say I agree with all of the reviews, but add that the lid even stands up when cooking in a fire! We stuck this pot in a small fire and I think maybe because the lid does not protrude over the edge of the titanium, the silicone was not affected at all by the flames. You will blacken the pot and the inside of the lid when you use it to lift the pot, but it all cleans up pretty well.

Comments about Snow Peak Hybrid Summit Cookset:
I got this set and the Giga Power stove separately. It is the same as the starter kit model which comes with the stove, but I wanted the silicon top/holder and cup/insulator.
The pot can fit on the bottom of a 1 liter Nalgene bottle, or the stove, fuel canister, and a spork can all fit inside the pot and inside the stuff sack. Alternately an alcohol stove, alcohol, and all the rest can fit inside nicely.
As mentioned in another review, the various other sizes can fit inside each other for a bigger cook set.
Size is good for solo boiling water to rehydrate freeze dried food. Usually you are boiling 2 cups of water + maybe one more for a hot drink.
This works great with the Snow Peak Giga Power stove, and others. It also works well with my various alcohol beer can homemade stoves and their stands. I use a wind screen cut out from an aluminum cooking sheet i high wind and always with the alcohol stoves. You have to be very careful with the fuel canister stoves though so as not to over heat and burst the canister (with obvious disastrous results). I check the temp of the canister ofter to make sure it is not heating up. Using the optional Snow Peak wind screen plate helps avoid overheating the canister when using a wrap around screen, but it is heavy IMO.
For actual cooking, like rice and beans, or pastas that need to simmer, I would go with a bigger/wider pot.
The silicone pot holder top is nice and works well. It swells a little under heat and pops out of the pot lip when boiling, but that is not a problem. It does work to hold the pot handles keeping you from getting burned, but is a little tedious and you feel like you might drop the pot.
Deficiencies and Modifications:
I think you would be better served using a home made Refletex insulator (search the web search on Refletex Cozy)in lieu of the silicon cup. They work great/better and can actually take the place of simmering saving fuel. Just insulate and let sit about half again as long as you would simmer.Really stays hot for a long time. Especially good when using ultralight alcohol stoves. The silicone cup is nice for keeping a hot drink hot a little longer in the pot and not burning your hands. A Refletex cozy with a top does it all. Weighs almost nothing.
I wish the pot had graduations like some other brands, and other Snow Peak models. I poured water into it, a cup at a time, and marked the outside with an industrial sharpie.
Of the setups I have this is my favorite ultralight solo setup for planned overnights. For back up/emergency/ like a day hike that might go bad, or a car emergency bag, I might go with some sort of large beer can pot and a beer can alcohol stove.
For two people, go with a 1.3 liter pot. If you are doing a little more cooking then just re-hydrating, consider one of the non stick options. I like the ceramic/silicon coatings.

Comments about Snow Peak Hybrid Summit Cookset:
I like any type of backpacking mug/pot that has folding handles. This item is good for heating water but not the best for cooking since there is a small amount of surface area over the heat source. On a recent 4-day backpacking trip the mug was big enough to heat water for two packs of oatmeal and 2 cups of coffee. I used the mug/pot to heat water, poured some of the water into the silicone base for the oatmeal, and the rest in the mug for coffee. The silicone base is too flexible for anything liquid - it will spill - and it slides off the mug if using as a heat shield. The cover was great since it stays cool to the touch. Easy to clean both the silicone and titanium. Great choice for compactness for a single person and when using all dehydrated. I would want a wider pot if preparing anything that has to cook a while, such as rice or noodle dishes.

This fits around my nalgene perfectly. It packs easily. I like having a cup to eat or drink out of while I cook something else.

Comments about Snow Peak Hybrid Summit Cookset:
Lightweight, good performance cookware. In minimalist fashion, everything is dual purpose. The lid functions as a pot holder, the cup is also a cozy for eating out of the hot pot. Same size as the Snow Peak Mini Solo pot. If you want a titanium lid to go with it, you can use the Mini Solo lid. The Snow Peak 700 lid will work too, but not as tight of a fit. A 110g gas canister and GigaPower stove fit inside. The entire thing will nest inside of the Snow Peak 900, which in turn will nest inside of the Snow Peak 1400. You could easily have a system that has 3 pots and 2 pans all at 19oz. The Snow Peak 450 mug fits inside, but would lose the ability to carry fuel and the stove. Someone told me that the JetBoil PCS Coffee Press will work with this, but I haven't tried it yet.

Comments about Snow Peak Hybrid Summit Cookset:
I may be a minimalist, but I like comfort too. I know I appreciate it when gear works well.
This Snow Peak product is versatility and that is demonstrated in the feature description and in the photos. However, I don't think they thought of using the base for a lid. I did, inverted it fits just right.
I am using their lid for the Snow Peak Hybrid on my GSI Minimalist, as well. Actually, I can switch them out for each other. Nice.
The fact is, sometimes different components do switch out for each other. But this is especially nice.
Do you know each other? Snow Peak please meet GSI. GSI please meet Snow Peak. I like this.
Thank you, Snow Peak, for such a versatile and useful product.

Comments about Snow Peak Hybrid Summit Cookset:
Snow Peak has done it again by modifying the Trek solo mug into a hybid cookset in similar fashion to the earlier trail cookset. This set adds a silicon cup and a lid that can double as a nifty pot holder to keep from burning yourself. The mug will hold a small fuel canister and the gigapower or litemax stove. Use by itself as a super lightweight soloist set or combine with trail cookset to increase your trail cooking options.
