The REI Member Dividend
The REI dividend is a unique benefit of membership in the REI co-op. It's comprised of your member refund—typically 10% back on eligible purchases—and/or your REI Visa® card rebates.
Each March, active REI members and REI Visa cardholders who earned a rebate receive a refund in the form of an annual dividend notice.
Only active members receive annual dividend notices. To maintain your active status as an REI member, you need to make net merchandise or shipping purchases of at least $10 per year, unless you joined that year. Member numbers are issued in one name and only that person receives the member refund. Your number can be used by others in your family, but it cannot be transferred to someone else.

Comments about Sawyer Permethrin Aerosol Insect Repellent - 9 fl. oz.:
I don't know yet if this stuff actually works. however I can tell you that this aerosol can size is just enough, maybe, to treat one top and one bottom, depending on how heavy your clothing is and how big you are. Their website suggests that you have to apply enough that the surface of your clothing is visibly wet.
The aerosol may be a little more convenient than the pump but not having enough to treat what you want is a problem. So I would suggest buying the larger and more economical (per ounce) size pump rather than this aerosol can. You'll always find another article of clothing or mosquito net that you'll want to treat...

Comments about Sawyer Permethrin Aerosol Insect Repellent - 9 fl. oz.:
I have used permethrin before and found it to be a great product reasonably effective at repelling mosquitoes. The delivery system of this particular brand is absolute crud! I purchased a bottle and started to use it only aerosol came out of the sprayer, all the chemical leaked out of the base of the sprayer. I returned it and got an other bottle and it had the same problem. After making a choice not to fight back through traffic to try again I tried to use the defective product and got more of the chemical ooze on myself than the shirt. This spray can is worthless!!!

Glad that I read reviews before using. Not sure about the product yet. Will be out in tick and chigger country in a couple of day. I whole heartedly agree with the comments and concerns regarding the aerosol delivery system. In a word it "stinks". More chemical leaked out of the nozzle than sprayed out. Glad that I wore rubber gloves. The chemical was everywhere, some of it even got on the clothing that I was attempting to treat.

Highly recommend this product. We fish, hike, bike and just hang around outside and we have no issues with biting insects of any category. Used it in the Amazon when everyone else said nothing worked and it was awesome. No bites, the others had plenty of bites without Sawyers. Thank you for having a save and effective product!

Comments about Sawyer Permethrin Aerosol Insect Repellent - 9 fl. oz.:
I agree with MThikr — the spray can I got has trouble actually spraying. I followed the directions, but what I got were uneven splatters on the fabric, while at least as much of the product was quickly oozing out at the nozzle and flowing down over the can and my hand. Less than half probably made it onto the fabric, and what got there wasn't applied evenly.
I can't comment on the bug-repellent, because the strange 2011 Sierra Nevada spring had delayed onset of heavy mosquito populations and I simply didn't see the density I'd expected.
I'm going to take back the remainder of this can and try switching to the 12oz manual pump, which I now notice has a much higher average user rating.

Comments about Sawyer Permethrin Aerosol Insect Repellent - 9 fl. oz.:
I bought a bunch of this stuff for a three-month trip through Mexico and Central America. My boyfriend and I each treated a few T-shirts, shorts, and socks, as well as the mosquito net we used over our bed when it was particularly buggy. We both got bitten by mosquitos through our clothes several times. A few times, in the middle of the night, we found giant bugs just hanging out on the outside of the mosquito net.
There was one hike when he, in non-treated shorts, got three ticks, and I, in treated shorts, got none, but that could easily be coincidence.
