Engineered with safety as the key component, the Metolius Safe Tech All-Around climbing harness delivers maximum strength without being cumbersome.

All structural components of the harness have been made as redundant and error-proof as possible; beefy belay loop, rear haul loop and tie-in points withstand regular use
2 belay/rappel loops make setting up for rappels and multi-pitch belays simple
Waistbelt webbing shows a color pattern change when correctly double-backed; waist buckle shows "Danger" if not correctly double-backed
Patented 3D system adjusts rise length and leg size to keep you upright and in balance in a fall; harness is designed to fit men and women comfortably
4 gear loops provide ample space for racking quickdraws, cams and carabiners; rear loops sit flat for comfort while wearing a pack

I liked this harness. I'm about a 34" waist in pants, and the customer service rep said most customers buy a harness too small (the local store did not have either medium or large in stock), so I got the large, which fits 33 to 37" waist. It was too large for me, and I couldn't tighten it down. Nice build, but it is time consuming to have to double-back all buckle adjustments. [...] I just decided just to go with another harness altogether.[...]

This is an very good harness. It is very durable and can carry more than enough gear. The padding on this harness means it can be worn for long periods of time without any discomfort. Sometimes I'd argue it's harder to get in to than other harnesses I've seen. Which hopefully means it would be harder to accidently come out of.

I have the previous model with the single loop up front.

Of all the harnesses I tried, this was by far the most solid. The gear loops are climb rated, which is good to know (not that I plan on testing them for that). The harness is very adjustable and comfortable.

Runs true to size from what I can tell.

Safety and comfort, not much more you can ask for.

This harness has enough padding to hang for a good period of time without much discomfort. This is a great harness for my climbs and descents. I feel very secure in the harness especially during long rappels.
