Comments about Detours City F Handlebar Bag:
I just finished installing this onto my wife's Novara Carema, a road bike that has standard style **drop handlebars**.
She tried it out and immediately said that she was going to to return it for the following reason:
the bag placement is very close to the handlebar, leaving only a small gap between the bag and the location on the handlebar grip tape where she would place her hands when riding on the flats. If your a road biker, you will be familiar with the fact that riders often switch their hands from the flats (resting their hands on the top part of the bars)to the hoods (the top of the brake/shift levers). She felt that the bags proximity to the flats would make switching back and forth a bit too cumbersome.
She thinks the bag is very cute.
For a beach cruiser, or any other bike where one only places their hands on the outside portion of the handlebar, it would probably be a fantastic bag. But... for a bike with drop handlebars, it is no bueno. :)

Comments about Detours City F Handlebar Bag:
This is a nice handlebar bag for urban riding. The clear mesh top pocket is handy for quick access; the main compartment is large enough to hold all the usual purse stuff along with a compact bike lock or other small accessories. It has a key clip and a zip compartment that holds a (small) wallet or phone. The rubber bottom lets it sit on the ground without falling over (handy in restaurants as well as outside).
My bag came with a handlebar mount made by Go Designs (I think later models might use Rixen & Kaul mounts). This really isn't sturdy enough to support the bag when it's full; the mount tends to slip down around the bars (you can only tighten the two Allen bolts so far). On my bike the bag just comes to rest against the stem and doesn't interfere with brake or shifter cables, but the slippage is annoying and could be a problem on bikes with different geometry.
The bag has two carrying handles; I'd also have liked D rings for a shoulder strap, because people who travel with bikes and cargo often need both hands free.

I LOVE this bag BUT it did not fit my Black Diamond or Fuji hybrid bikes. It says it fits most but I would be careful. it is very cute and has a lot of pockets but I can't use it.
