    I am an active athlete...gym rat, cyclist, swimmer, skier, hiker, rock climber...but have steered away from running for some time due to joint/knee issues. I recently (6 mos) returned to running (was Xcountry in college etc until knees sidelined me)after a multiyear absence...I recovered past the shin splint stage and have progressed great..now noticing some recovery lag. So, I tried these compression socks to alleviate the shin pain and reduce recovery time. After about 8 runs now..I LOVE these. I wash them by hand and no drier...fit snug (I'm a M 4/6 got a size 2 sock) perfect. They help me go that extra that I thought I could not. Only concern is how will they be when FL hot humid weather returns! I will look for footless compression bands instead of socks. I wholeheartedly recommend these.
