    Comments about Timbuk2 Handlebar Bag:

when i first saw this product on the shelf i thought it was a mini-pannier for a rear rack. it says handle bar bag but i use it on my rear rack.

the wide velcro tabs in the rear wrap around my rack well and still allow me to bunjee a milk crate on top of my rear rack for larger loads.

i keep an inner tube, second cable lock, stuffable keychain-backpack and a few tools in mine.

it will also function as a fanny pack if you need to tote the bag with you.

it may interfere with hand positioning on some drop handlebars but i dont use it for that anyway.

seems durable and has a vinyl type of lining.

    Comments about Timbuk2 Handlebar Bag:

I recently purchased this to use as a handbar bag that could move between my many bicycles (mostly a road bike and a touring bike). The velocro straps that attach to the handlebar are very thick and hinder hand placement on my bars. While they did not hinder riding in the hoods, it blocked my secondary hand position on top of the bars. I could get my hands right next to the straps, but then my knuckles would hit the back of the bag. The placement of the velcro also blocked my cyclocomputer and did not leave any place to mount my flea front light when the sky grew dark.

The inside space of the bag fit a frist aid kit and rain gear, but was cramped to fit anything else. Nothing got soaked in the rain however, items ended up damp after a storm. I would stick with a stem mounted bag for road bike handlebars and only use this with flat or hybrid style bars.
