The REI Member Dividend
The REI dividend is a unique benefit of membership in the REI co-op. It's comprised of your member refund—typically 10% back on eligible purchases—and/or your REI Visa® card rebates.
Each March, active REI members and REI Visa cardholders who earned a rebate receive a refund in the form of an annual dividend notice.
Only active members receive annual dividend notices. To maintain your active status as an REI member, you need to make net merchandise or shipping purchases of at least $10 per year, unless you joined that year. Member numbers are issued in one name and only that person receives the member refund. Your number can be used by others in your family, but it cannot be transferred to someone else.

Comments about REI Double Shot Waist Pack:
The OLD (last years model) Double Shot was the best running waist pack that I have found. These changes to the new model are a huge dissapointment. The zipper compartment is hard to get into. The zipper can actully be buried behind the water bottle holder.
The water bottle holders new design also looks to be plaged with problems. Harder to get in and out. Potential to be more bouncy when running.
I liked the old waist strap better than the new one too.
All in all, this model should be trashed and they should go back to last years model. What were they thinking when they designed this?

Comments about REI Double Shot Waist Pack:
Bought this little baby at REI sale. I needed something for light and fast rockhopping and traversing along tall creek bed walls, climbing and bouldering. When I was in the store an employee saw me considering this model and told me not to buy it because the bottels are very hard to remove-which is true, which is why I bought it. This pack has no bunges to secure bottles in place, just a strudy strap, the bottles held in place great! if I am going to stop it's only to take a drink or have an energy gel or bar so I don't care if I have to take it off to do that. Yes, the conpartment is small, but I figured away around that. I bought a small tupperware container for my cell, and other small items needed for waterproofing which works even fully submerged in water(drys fast). The zippers work great, two small one's on both sides of the hip belt for gels, eye drops and sunscreen. For the money, it can't be beat. Great pack if you're into light and fast hiking or climbing.

Comments about REI Double Shot Waist Pack:
I just purchased this waist pak for long runs and wanted to add my thoughts... I do not find the bottle holders too problematic in regards to removing water bottles but agree that the compartment zipper is not the best design. This should be a dual or two zipper design so the pouch can be accessed from the top instead of the side, which makes it difficult to find items by feel and allows for items to fall out. I like the compact design and needed two bottles for long runs but would add a bit more padding to the waist belt to relieve some of the stress when carrying two full bottles. Overall a nice product that can be improved upon.

Comments about REI Double Shot Waist Pack:
I was 1 mile into a 8 mile hike and returned to my car to replace this pack with my day pack. The waist belt was uncomfortable and no matter what I tried, I couldn't get a good fit.
Also, water flow is very restricted. I had to remove the top to get a decent drink.

Comments about REI Double Shot Waist Pack:
I bought this pack on sale last week and was very excited because it has two water bottles, a big pocket, and two small pockets. My hope was to use this pack for training and for my first 100 miler coming up this spring. I have used it for one 9.5 mile training run and could not get the darn waist band to stay securely tight. My other hydration belt has an elastic waistband and velcro and feels very secure. This one, however, keeps loosening up after just a short distance. Maybe I haven't figured out how to adjust it, but it drove me crazy the whole run and I will likely return it and find something that has an elastic band.
