The REI Member Dividend
The REI dividend is a unique benefit of membership in the REI co-op. It's comprised of your member refund—typically 10% back on eligible purchases—and/or your REI Visa® card rebates.
Each March, active REI members and REI Visa cardholders who earned a rebate receive a refund in the form of an annual dividend notice.
Only active members receive annual dividend notices. To maintain your active status as an REI member, you need to make net merchandise or shipping purchases of at least $10 per year, unless you joined that year. Member numbers are issued in one name and only that person receives the member refund. Your number can be used by others in your family, but it cannot be transferred to someone else.

Great all around knife! Easy to open, sharp, great serrated edge, and is perfect for an everyday knife or for use out in the back trails.

Comments about Kershaw Leek Serrated Knife:
This is a great every day knife. Its light weight enough to be barely noticeable in your pocket and sturdy enough to withstand some abuse. The sleek design is rugged but still attractive.

Comments about Kershaw Leek Serrated Knife:
I like that it's slim, it came sharp, but its edge would be too thin for more abusive tasks- I use it at work for a 'discrete' tool to open packages or what have you.
Its action is smooth, the liner lock is secure, and I did find the blade profile more or less elegant, and well suited to an every-day carry.
My complaint: It's an assisted opener. (I purchased mine in store, and the packaging ignored this detail, can't be sure why...) Now, as a general rule of thumb I avoid assisted openers, mostly because they have a tendency to go lax after a while (for me about two months.) and start not opening all the way.
This wasn't true, though at about three months I had to sharpen it- the edge got a dandy of a chip from a rather large and notably hidden staple. Oh well, it happens. The trouble is that the grit got into the mechanism and won't come out... it opens to about 90 deg. and then stops dead.
It also goes lax from getting wet (especially if you try to wash it, or cut fruit or other food with it. but when it dries out it usual goes back to normal after a while.
To explain the bottom line: I wouldn't because I am obsessive over keeping my knives sharp. the sharper they are, the safer they are. if you can't sharpen a knife once...there's something wrong.

Comments about Kershaw Leek Serrated Knife:
Great design. Opens easily with one hand while on a ladder. Durable assist opener. Just throw in the dishwasher when you need it cleaned. Re-oil when it's dry.
Cons- The only knife I can't sharpen to shave hair off my arm. Dulls easily and early.

Comments about Kershaw Leek Serrated Knife:
This is a great 'everyday' pocketknife. Not really big enough for major survival tasks or anything like that. It's rather flat and lightweight, so it isn't a bother at all to carry around. I've a few Kershaw knives, and they are all solidly made. For those worried about the spring mechanism (which, of course, simply can't last forever), I have had a Kershaw whose spring failed, but I simply sent it to Kershaw (all their knives have a lifetime warranty), and they sent me a brand new one in a timely manner.
