I bought this shirt to replace a smartwool microweight shirt I'd lost. Synthetics are a big no-no for firefighting and helicopter work due to the risk of melting, so natural fibers are best.
This shirt had held up much better than the smart wool-- I've yet to put a hole in it, which I tend to do almost immediately with the smartwool microweights. It pills far less than the mid and heavy weight smart wools, and shrinks less than all of 'em. Its super comfortable and looks great too. I wear it all the time, day to day, running, working out, baselayer for snow sports... you name it. This shirt rocks.

I bought this shirt last minute for a trip to Nepal. I was going to take it as a back up to my merino wool shirts. I ended up wearing this shirt for the whole trip - it was perfect. It is amazingly quick dry, we were hiking in monsoon season, and I would be soaked at the end of the day, and within no time at all while sitting for dinner it would be dry. It kept me warm when needed and still worked well when the sun would come out the the temperature rose. Love this shirt, would recommend it for any sport. I now wear it while running in the fall.
