The REI Member Dividend
The REI dividend is a unique benefit of membership in the REI co-op. It's comprised of your member refund—typically 10% back on eligible purchases—and/or your REI Visa® card rebates.
Each March, active REI members and REI Visa cardholders who earned a rebate receive a refund in the form of an annual dividend notice.
Only active members receive annual dividend notices. To maintain your active status as an REI member, you need to make net merchandise or shipping purchases of at least $10 per year, unless you joined that year. Member numbers are issued in one name and only that person receives the member refund. Your number can be used by others in your family, but it cannot be transferred to someone else.

Comments about Sigma Sport ROX 9.0 Wireless Heart Rate Bike Computer:
Switched from a Polar F11/Cateye double wireless due to interference issues. Unit seems to work well and speed can be rear wheel mounted contrary to instructions.
Note: Only used for about 3 road rides and 4 trainer rides so far.
Pros: Seems to work well for all but HR. HR seems higher than Polar which I believe was accurate. Have had a few issues with it freezing as it tried to determine actual rate. Meaning stays high after a climb although now coasting and rate has dropped substantially.
All other data seems pretty good. although I am not as confident with auto start/stop as with Cateye.
Cons: Display: Some items pretty small to read (I'm over 40!). Can't display elapsed time and distance together.
Software. Loaded on two machines but only one allows proper transfer. I am above average tech geek and tried three reinstalls. two emails to Sigma, no response. Software has errors. Max incline can be 10% with average at 17%! Not possible, just a calc error.
I like the on bike functionality and can tolerate the problems. If I could not get the info to download to one of my computers I would have been very upset.
Would recommend only with highlighting issues.

Comments about Sigma Sport ROX 9.0 Wireless Heart Rate Bike Computer:
Used this computer for about a year as a competitive cyclist for training and recreational rides. The computer has a lot of functions, and once learned, the navigation system is very easy to use and well laid out. I never had a problem with any of the three wireless functions - hr, cadence, speed. However, any time I used this in temperatures below about 50F, the functions would cut out and the 3V batteries just didn't produce enough power - even though they were new/fully charged - to drive all three signals and the head unit. I would loose signal and wind up with no speed or any other data. My training time in the early mornings for the last few months have been in the 40-50F range and the computer would never work until it warmed up when the sun got high enough. So, while I like this computer, I returned it b/c a computer is no good if it doesn't work. The quick set up manual is like a comic strip! The actual manual is hard to follow. Unit is best programed off the computer. Once unit is programed, it works great and is very accurate. Two bike set up and tracking is great.

Comments about Sigma Sport ROX 9.0 Wireless Heart Rate Bike Computer:
I had the 9.0 installed right before I did a century ride. First training ride, no cadence, despite the fact that the sensors were within the range specified. Then, I noticed that 90% of the time, the speedometer would display 0.0 Interestingly enough, the odometer was keeping track of my distance, but would only update when the speedometer was registering on the display. So, for distances of as much as 1.4 miles, I would have zero/inaccurate information for the most important functions: speed and distance. The heart rate monitor worked fine.
Now, on to the century. About 50 miles into the ride, suddenly, I had cadence. Great! But apparently, with a tradeoff: Now the altimeter started registering variances in altitude of as much as 400 feet on level ground. Lastly, the function that measures incline/decline was useless as well. It would at random intervals register anything: I might be on level ground, with the display showing 4, or -6, or 0; I might be climbing a steep ascent, with the display showing pretty much the same thing. Then, toward the last 40 miles of my century ride, it just started to count up! 1, 3, 5, 7...99, 0, -1, -3, -5... for 40 miles!!!
I made the mistake of going with this computer on my bike guy's recommendation, even after owning a previous Sigma product. I'm taking it back and buying a cheapy $40 wireless that was problem free.

Comments about Sigma Sport ROX 9.0 Wireless Heart Rate Bike Computer:
Strong points:- Amazing display configuration options: top field has alone has almost everything you need to know: altitude, gradient, cadence, & heart rate- digital transmission: nearly impervious to interference and thus much more accurate than older analog units (like my previous HAC4)- best altimeter on the market: this unit is accurate to 1ft, making it far more accurate than the 1m/3ft resolution of many competitors like Ciclosport or Suunto- can set to 5-second recording intervals for more detailed & accurate log files- easy to configure when docked to PC, even if navigating between different display options takes some getting used to on the bike.Cons:- Sigma software interface is pretty, but limited. Good news is data can be ported & analyzed with more versatile software like TrainingPeaks.- Sigma dropped the ball on Power Output.Rather than calculate power output in watts, in real time, like my Ciclosport Hac4, the Rox 9.0 calculates cumulative calories expended over entire workout. TO add insult to injury, this feature is only accessible in the Sigma software, not on the ROX unit itself. You can manually convert Calories into Watts, but given that competitors like Ciclosport have had devices that calculate & log Wattage in real time for over 10 years, it is a MAJOR DISAPPOINTMENT that Sigma would cut corners here.Granted this is not a precision powermeter, but ALL THE DATA Sigma needs to make an algorithmic power calculation are being recorded, and given the superb accuracy of the altimeter, it is hard to understand why Sigma would cripple the feature set of the device, when it could be extremely accurate e.g. when doing hill intervals on a wind sheltered climb.Bottom line: beats my old HAC4 on all fronts, with the exception of no real-time Wattage readout. The [$] price tag is actually an unbeatable value when you compare it to the $400-$500 price tag of comparable Polar, Suunto, ZDO or Garmin computers with all their requisite PC interfaces plus Heart Rate & Cadence "accessories."

Comments about Sigma Sport ROX 9.0 Wireless Heart Rate Bike Computer:
While it took me a while to learn how to use the ROX 9.0, now I find it totally adequate for my short to medium rides over local and familiar terrain. I do think it better to mount the head unit on the stem, rather than the handle bar, as the latter tends to rotate a bit as the buttons are pushed.
On the road the center of the unit displays speed, digits easily read, then below that distance to the nearest 0.01 mile, or alternatively, a wide variety of information that one selects and item at a time. Above the speed one can display altitude, heart rate, cadence and road inclination, either all at once, in numerals a bit small for my older eyes, or any one singly, in larger and more visible numerals. It would be nice if they changed the software to allow showing two items simultaneously, in somewhat larger numberals, or to allow any of the top items to be displayed on the bottom, whose numerals are more readable.
Information download using the supplied USB 2.0 port is easy. The current iteration v. 2.0.2, of their Data Center display software, works nicely. I can use it readily to examine my performance (slow!) over short road segments.
Of course, for someone who needs in-ride mapping, the much more expensive Garmin 800 would be the alternative, the somewhat more expensive Garmin 500 a better choice for someone who might want to move the computer from bike to bike, such as to use it on a rental bike during a trip.
Regardless, if you're willing to tolerate a learning curve, the ROX 9.0 meets the needs of almost any rider, save someone who frequently does out of area century or double century rides, where the GPS mapping from Garmin would be useful.

I really wanted to like the ROX 9.0, but the clock lost 4 minutes the first night I owned it, the speed magnet does not fit well on flat spokes, and there was not enough clearance between my CAAD 9's crank arm and chain arm for the cadence magnet. [...]

Sigma is a nightmare to deal with, in fact when I could not get the heart rate monitor to work following all the suggestions on the blogs and from Sigma, they still would not let me return it. I had the same problem with the Sigma Rox8.0 and should have learned my lesson, out some [$].I use a Garmin Edge 305, very nice!!!!

My friend has it on his bike and I tried to figure out what information is where. To be honest, you can't figure out how to use it. It is really a piece of puzzle.
