This is a very sturdy shoe. My favorite thing about it is that I live in the desert, and most shoes take on a lot of sand when hiking or running. These shoes, due to their waterproof components, do not take on sand/water through the mesh. I recommend it as a great hiking and appraoch shoe - I haven't run in them much. I have average to wide feet - I thought they were slightly too narrow at first, but they eventually broke in well.
