Read reviews so was cautious and went to REI store to purchase. I have a Timex Ironman 30 lap model T531519J. Band looks like a fit but due to inaccurate specs, modeling by this secondary manufacture it does not fit. REI employee and I tried for 15 minutes and the point of contact on the band to the watch is to thick. The pin tunnel is misaligned with the pin holes with the Timex watch. The material on the band is not flexible enough and you cannot even align with much force. Do not purchase and REI needs to remove from shelves and not use this manufacture.

Service and delivery comments:

Thank Goodness I went to REI store. Lost 15 minutes of time, but no money and no hassle if took or shipped home.

REI clerk was somewhat annoyed that I wanted to see if fit in store. Seemed he already knew that this band will not fit my watch from installation attempts and customer complaints/returns.

I bought this, despite the warnings that it was hard to get on the watch. This turned out to be accurate--nearly an hour of struggling! And then it broke within two weeks of ordinary wear--the pin apparently cut through the strap, as the whole watch fell off my hand while I was sitting at my desk. Useless piece of junk that I had to pay to mail back!

I purchased this band from REI a couple of years ago. It was shipped quickly, fit fine and was fairly easy to put on. It's one of the most comfortable bands I've worn but just doesn't last very long. Band just recently starting cracking by the clasp. I'll probably buy another one because there aren't many options available to me.

The band is exactly as pictured. It fit the watch just like the original. The only difference was the lack of an Ironman logo. It was a little difficult to install but, that is Timex's fault/design. I was tired of the Ironman watchbands without replaceable bands breaking, rendering the watch useless. That is why I chose this watch in the first place. Shipping was 3 days!

I had one hell of a time finding for an exact replacement band. For awhile I used the Timex's generic Velcro strap because it was the only replacement I could find locally. Timex doesn't even make a replacement band for my exact watch, so I don't know why some people are complaining about it not being an original Timex strap. Stupid on Timex's part for creating such a unique band. I don't know what their engineering department was thinking when it came to designing the strap. This strap is an exact fit. It may feel like it doesn't fit when you try to install it, but I assure you it does. It's difficult because of the way Timex designed it.

Do not buy this band as a replacement for a Timex Ironman 30-Lap Flix (what it is advertised as). It is simply impossible to make it fit the watch. It is cut differently. This is some kind of generic band. REI should not be advertising this in this way.

If you search for a Timex Ironman Triathlon 30 Lap Flix replacement watchband, you will find nothing but comments like "it's a great watch, but the watch along w/ the replacement band has been discontinued". I was so glad that it was available here at REI. Amazing considering the dozens of replacement watchbands out there. This is the first Tixex Ironman that I have owned that the paint did not wear off or the watch simply did not break. This watch is 3 years old, worn daily in harsh conditions. The watch was worthy of a replacement band. That said...good luck w/ installation. Definitely use the new spring bars supplied w/ the band. I performed the replacement operation under magnification, as the fit is very tight. I used a small jewelers screwdriver. Be patient! It fits!

What you get is a generic watchband -not a timex watchband that is made specifically for the watch. you get a generic watchband that states it "fits Ironman".

However, it DOES NOT FIT. at least is does not fit my ironman flix watch. wasted time and effort.
