Comments about Pacific Outdoor Equipment Boot Rack Trunk Bag:
I have not been biking long, but toured 1500 miles on the road this summer (spent a total of 1 month on the bike - all self-sufficient). 3/4 of the way through the tour, one of the plastic buckles that closes this bag just broke as I was opening it. The bag was in no way abused or even used in tough conditions. I rarely opened the bag (I put my spare parts and tools in there and didn't have any break-downs), and certainly didn't throw it around or really do anything apart from leave it on my bike.
Also, unless it's full it shifts around very easily on the rear rack, even between a pair of panniers. The material of the bag seems heavy-duty enough and is plenty waterproof, but what good is that if it won't stay closed? Ended up using a spare guy-line from my tent to tie it closed. Not happy.
