    Comments about High Sierra Drop-Bottom Wheeled Duffle - 35'' - '08 Closeout:

WE WERE RESTRICTED TO A ROLLING DUFFEL NOT TO EXCEED 62" TOTAL INCHES IN LENGTH, WIDTH AND HEIGHT--RIDICULOUS!!! THIS WAS TO FLY TO SOUTH AMERICA. WE HAD TO RETURN THIS GREAT LUGGAGE ONLY FOR THIS REASON, AND WE HAD TO FIND A RIDICULOUSLY SMALL DUFFEL TO TRAVEL (AT ANOTHER STORE). WE DEFINITELY MADE IT UP TO REI BY PURCHASING A COMPLETELY NEW WARDROBE THAT PACKED LIGHTLY!!

    Comments about High Sierra Drop-Bottom Wheeled Duffle - 35'' - '08 Closeout:

We just got back from a weeklong trip to Hawaii. The way to get around the size restrictions of this bag is to use the compression staps and pack properly. I had 48 pounds of snorkel grear, casual, and business casual clothes packed in this bag. Hawaiian Air accepted the bag and did not question the size. The gear goes in the bottom compartment and the clothes in the top. Uncompressed, the bag is too big but zip it all up, pull the compression straps tight, and then wrap a wide luggage strap around the whole thing for more compression and to ID the bag and voila! No problems at all with the size of the bag. Be careful and use a luggage scale, because you can easily pack more than 50 pounds in this bag.

I needed something large to take a bunch of my gear and things to Africa for a few months. Good bag, was an excellent value as I bought it on sale.
