  • 1-piece nylon mesh uppers are highly breathable and lightweight; external thermoplastic urethane stabilizers provide support for heels
  • Dynamic tongue construction works with the lacing harnesses for a secure, snug fit; nylon mesh linings on tongue and back half of shoe wick moisture to help keep feet dry
  • Dual-density MEMlex midsoles and 2.4mm thick LaSpEVA lasting boards provide ample cushioning
  • Midsoles also have nylon molded shanks to modulate toe-spring and offer additional stability
  • Sticky FriXion® AT rubber outsoles deliver excellent traction and a smooth, resilient ride on and off the trail
  • Impact Brake System™ helps reduce impact forces while improving traction via the multidirectional, offset lug pattern

I recently switched from Asic's Eagle trail shoe to La Sportiva's Wildcats. I have been very happy with the arch support and stability, and I appreciate that they're much lighter! I have tested these shoes in rugged terrain and I haven't been able to feel the rocks underfoot.

      Usually I consider La Sportiva trail running shoes and boots as my first choice of footwear for trail running and backpacking.These shoes proved to be unsuitable for both running and easy hiking. I twisted my ankles so much that I had to change my hiking plans and return the shoes to the nearest store.[...]
