Comments about Wald Rear Twin-Basket Carrier - Medium:
This basket matches the Wald 3133 basket perfectly, but it's not as easy to install. The basket didn't come with installation instructions, but you can find them on the Wald website. Wald suggests getting it installed by a professional but we installed it ourselves. I was surprised it didn't come with rubber gaskets to protect the paint from the rough edges of the basket-to-bike connectors (we made our own). Also make sure the screws are tight, otherwise the basket will rock back and forth against the back wheel or fender. We had to remove the back wheel and chain just to get the basket on… that's probably why they suggest taking it to a professional for installation. But once the basket is installed, it's pretty durable and can hold a decent amount of stuff. The medium size is perfect for a Cruiser.

Comments about Wald Rear Twin-Basket Carrier - Medium:
I had read the other review about lack of installation instructions, so I had the bike shop at my local REI install it for me. They did a fine job, no complaints there. But I have to watch that my feet aren't too far back on the pedals or else my heels hit the edge of the baskets. I imagine different styles of bikes may not have this issue. (I have a Trek 7.2 FX) Just something to consider/check before actually installing. In general, I do like the baskets and am just careful about foot placement.

Pros:
-Solid construction
-Medium baskets are a good size for around town use.
Cons:
-No installation instructions. You can view or download the instructions at the Wald website, but it would require minimal effort to print the single page, put it in a plastic bag, and tape it to the assembly.
-The baskets mount to either the rear axle or eyelets. I have a quick release rear axle on my bike, so mounting to the axle isn't practical, and I don't have rear rack mounting eyelets.
Most bikes will have the eyelets, but make sure yours does before you order the baskets.

Comments about Wald Rear Twin-Basket Carrier - Medium:
bought this to for my Mixte frame Raleigh. I had to trim the "legs" down with a band saw so they didn't get in the way of my rear derailleur, And I cut some rubber patches and used spray adhesive to tack them to the frame in order to save my paint. I replaced all the hardware with stainless, save the Nylocks and brackets. everything came together great but where the legs meet the rack they shift about an 1/8th of an inch and now its rusting there. I'll have to slit some nylon washers and put them there to fill the gap. Other than that 1 tiny hangup SHE'S A PEACH! In hind sight I'd like to have bought the folders but these are top drawer. I HIGHLY recommend this basket!

(Describe self--every day commuter bicyclist)
Since I don't drive I've ridden every day and used a Wald (twin) rear basket set for the last 20+ years--for carrying my purse, books, groceries, laundry (two loads--one piled on top) and recycling. Just last year one basket needed a bit of welding because one wire came loose.
I just hope these new baskets (looks like they're covered with black plastic) are as strong as my first set.
