These are by far the most comfortable sandal that I have ever worn and they look great. Despite not being able to wear them in the water I feel I could walk any where miles on end. The only tif- for [$] I thought they would be built a little better. The seams in the sole came a little separated, but covered in glue. Look forward to many miles in them.

Comments about OluKai Maoli Flip-Flops:

I bought these and the Haipo at the same time. The Haipo is 1/2 size bigger, more a true nine, where I am an 8 1/2 with a slightly wider than D width. The strap was uber comfy, I hate flip flops when they make my big and second toe sore. Very cushy to walk in and you could probably walk a decent distance in these. Why anyone would wear $100 flips on the beach is beyond me. After wearing these once, the soft leather around the toe scuffed up. I guess I will polish to see if it can be hidden. That is my one complaint, they seem a bit easy to scuff for [$]. The Haipo's are also good, but maybe just a bit too long and wide for me, more 9E than 8.5 D.

Service and delivery comments:

I paid extra for 2 day delivery since I bought my wife birthday OluKai's as well. They showed up in four days from order (ordered Friday, showed up Wed.) on her birthday, lucky for me. I would like to have a better idea of ship date when placing the order, but REI does not offer an exact date. Makes it sort of a waste to pay for expedited delivery.

Great looking sandals for sure! You will get a ton of compliments if you purchase these puppies. The arch support is great and hasn't gone flat after several months of abuse.
So here it comes...... The first day i wore these sandals, I received three, that's right three, blisters on my feet. I was in a tropical climate and walking quite a bit. I could feel the hot spots starting, but had no idea that the straps were slicing into the tops of my feet so severely that by the time I was able to stop and look it was way too late.
On the up side.... after the initial blood bath and subsequent band aid purchase, these have been a fine pair of sandals. I still don't recommend them for long walks with your sweetheart by any means however. Get your self a pair of Reefs for daily wear. With care these will last quite a while I'm sure, but the wear on the soles and the stretching of the straps is concerning after only a few months.
I do recommend these, but for the love of God, be careful the first few times you wear them. THEY WILL TEAR YOU UP !!
Oh, they do scratch up easily, but I like the worn look, so no biggie for me.
