Comments about Ultimate Direction Katoa Hydration Waistpack:
Here in Santa Fe we needs lots of water onboard for cycling. The dry air wicks fluid from the body. The traditional 2 bottle cages on a bike are not enough, at least for me. I don't like a backpack for hydration. The shoulder straps bother me. So I tried this little fanny pack. I like the way the bottles tuck in behind me so there is no drag while cycling. There is more than enough room for a sandwich, sunscreen etc. And you can even carry rain gear in the outside elastic. The pack was stable even when I was out of the saddle and climbing. And, I really really appreciated the extra hydration. You'll ride better. This is a gem. I've already told several of my cycling friends who are also buying it.[...] Happy cycling.

Comments about Ultimate Direction Katoa Hydration Waistpack:
I purchased an earlier model of this belt in 1997 for the Leadville 100 and it and I did not need to 'retire' it until this years Arkansas 100. I figured that a belt that lasted 12 years with the amount of use it got deserved a 'second look'.
I like this design better! This belt is an improvement in every important detail. 1) The belt strap is easier to adjust. 2) The side pockets are better designed and easier to open/close. 3) The main pocket has more than enough volume to carry everything I need for any run lasting longer than 24 hours (if needed). 4) The adjusting string on the main pocket keeps everything nice and tight. 5) MOST IMPORTANT - is the COMFORT. This belt is stable with both bottles filled (I use bottles from another company that are just a little larger). However, I prefer to run with ONE bottle on my hip and use a 'handheld' until it gets dark enough to have to carry a flashlight; at that time BOTH bottles go on the belt. With ONE filled bottle the belt feels almost 'weightless". There is extra 'luggage space' with only ONE bottle (if needed) but the great thing about this belt is that you don't have to readjust anything when you get down to ONE bottle. It is just as comfortable/stable with ONE bottle as it is with TWO.
If I get 1/2 the years out of this belt compared to my first one; I will consider myself ahead because of the COMFORT!
Hope to see you on the trails!
