Comments about Mammut Slackline Set:
The Mammut salckline system is possibly the perfect slackline. The slackline itself is made of a material that is much thicker and stronger than climbing webbing. The length can be adjusted easily from anywhere between 0 to 20 meters, and the slackline always lays perfectly flat. Directly above the ratchet system there is a second strap which is doubled back (much like the buckle of a climbing harness) to ensure the tension is not lost when the ratchet is being adjusted. Also, the system is very easy to set up and to tighten.

Comments about Mammut Slackline Set:
I used to slackline a couple years ago, and decided to get back into it - so I bought myself this. I love that you can drop the tensioning ratchet off of the line once you're set up - those really aren't meant to take the dynamic stresses of someone slacklining.
However, getting it up to propper tension by yourself is a trick - it can be done to some extent, but not as tight as you can get it with another person (doing it by yourself, and it's still lose enough that even if you have it at knee height, and you're doing a 25' run, your feet will be on the ground by the time you're in the middle).
The solution: bring a friend.
The other solution: make sure the tensioning sling is run out as far you can get it, then pull as much of the line as you can manage through the wedge on the end of the tensioning sling. After that, just keep tensioning until you run out of sling (but even then, it's not as tight as it could be - but plenty tight enough, your feet will no longer touch the ground in the middle of a 25', knee-height run)
One final note: It's a little nerve racking every time you pop the ratchet to move it further up along the sling to continue tensioning or to drop it off once you're done tensioning - and it only gets more nerve racking the tighter you get it. But the ratchet is solid, so it can take it.
It's a near perfect product, exactly what one would expect from Mammut - I would only like the "reusable" packaging to have been a little more durable, but seeing as it wasn't an advertised feature, I can't really complain.

Comments about Mammut Slackline Set:
I use this regularly and it sets up very easily. Its perfect for setting up a longer line by yourself because of the ratchet system. The only problem that I have found is that the tension straps aren't long enough to set up the line to its full length without it being a little too loose. Other than that its probably one of the best single person set up systems you can get. This was the first slackline I bought and have had it for over a year now and haven't been disappointed yet. I would recommend this slackline to any skill level.

Comments about Mammut Slackline Set:
i LOVE this product! It was tough at first to follow the directions an figure out the set up... but once I really sat down, found all the names for the parts and tried hard, I figured it out. It's durable, fun, functional and EASY to set up... once you learn it ;-)
the ONLY thing I can say that was a little :-( was the ratchet is REALLY tough to use... we "broke it in" but it took a while. KEEP A LOOK OUT FOR YOUR FINGERS AND FOLLOW THE DIRECTIONS and this should be a pain free, fun activity!
