Comments about Mad Rock Ultra Tech Screwgate Locking Carabiner:
Picked up a whole slew of these Mad Rock Biners, could not beat the price. I've been using them for Trad and Sport climbing both. The weight, shape, style, price and action are all fantastic. Springy gates, smoth actions, easy clipping.[...]

Comments about Mad Rock Ultra Tech Screwgate Locking Carabiner:
I've own several lockers including Bdel, Petzl, Omega and this one performs just as good if not better @ at almost half the price. It works just like a locking caribiner is suppose to. Smooth action and very light. I will keep buying for this for my rack.

Comments about Mad Rock Ultra Tech Screwgate Locking Carabiner:
Does the job in most situations where a locker is called for. This carabiner seems to be alot cheaper than most but feels great and hasn't missed a beat in the month or so that I've been using them

Comments about Mad Rock Ultra Tech Screwgate Locking Carabiner:
go into a store and handle this carabiner. Not only does it feel cheaply made, the screw-lock mechanism takes too long to close and there's also alot of oily residue on the gate of the carabiner. these krabs are cheap, but are clearly not worth the money. After using this, you'll need to wash your hands like it you just cleaned out

Comments about Mad Rock Ultra Tech Screwgate Locking Carabiner:
I wasn't too impressed with the ultra tech. I picked up two because of the low price but am starting to regret it.
I've taken them out twice already and am on the verge of heading back to REI to return them. It's hard to explain but there's something about them that isn't "quite right." The nose isn't too friendly when clipping through things...while it is keylock, it's not very ergonomic and the ball bearings for the locker don't spin comfortably.
Overall, I wouldn't recommend.
