    Comments about Carver Surf Racks Short Surfboard (Mini) Bike Rack:

    After searching long and hard for an elegant way to transport skis on a mountain bike for those early/late season turns, I came across this product. It is designed for surfboards, but I mounted it on my mountain bike and am finding it nicely adaptable to skis. It was very quick and easy to install, seems like it would work with most standard seat posts, and provides plenty of clearance for derailleurs, pedals, and front wheel. A test ride around the block showed the unit to be nicely balanced, not side-heavy or tippy at all.

    I can't give it 5 stars until I've actually used it for the intended purpose, but anticipate that it should work very well.
