Comments about Novara Expanding Wedge Seat Bag:
This fits perfectly on my bike (2010 Cannondale F7), very easy to install as it fits onto the railings underneath my seat. Install in less than 1 minute
Able to fit my wire bike lock, iphone and wallet in top pocket. Haven't used the bottom one yet.
Easy to remove and take with me if needed, just twist and it comes off
I love the fact I can hang my light on the end of it

Comments about Novara Expanding Wedge Seat Bag:
Great size! Without being too expensive or too bulky, I can get a repair kit, replacement tube, patch kit, two leg straps, a padlock, and my train commute tags in here.
Am happy that it easily fits the straight saddle bars on the seat of my Trek Hybrid. I'd tried other bike bags before, but they were angle only. I think this one could be used with either.
Love that Novara included a strap for clipping on a light. Thank you!
Clips easily on and off my bike, exactly what I was looking for to quickly and compactly store & remove my bike extras.

Just want to note that the Novara Seat Bag Adapter IS AVAILABLE as a separate item (in regards to other reviewer's experience not locating one - perhaps a communication snafu). Here is a link for the Novara Seat Bag Adapter[...]

Comments about Novara Expanding Wedge Seat Bag:
Tried to install on a new Trek FX-7.5. Will not install without modification. Since I'm new to biking I thought it was just me not getting it. I went online to find an answer and found others with the same issues. I researched every other accessory that I purchased but thought a seat pack would be universal and a no brainer. Hopefully R.E.I. will let me return it.

Comments about Novara Expanding Wedge Seat Bag:
Its just the right size if you are going to put this on a mountain bike or a hybrid bike. The bottom of the bag expands so you can put your bike essentials at the bottom. I keep a tube, patch kit, tire levers, and a micro multi tool kit at the bottom of the bag. Inside the top section of the bag there are 2 pocket nets that you can put thing such as band Aids, Wallet and a cell phone. Best purchased made so far for my new bike.

Comments about Novara Expanding Wedge Seat Bag:
Noticeably high quality, design---except the nice idea of the easy-off connection misses my seat by 2"--also, I have no idea what the strap on bottom is for and there are not diagrams or instructions for mounting---NONE! I mounted it backward to use the easy-off connector, but main zipper is now not accessible, so I'll have to remove it to access. Not a huge deal, but inconvenient.

Comments about Novara Expanding Wedge Seat Bag:
I'm not sure if this bag comes with instructions or not, mine didn't. So I missed the whole "90 degree twist thing", which made this bag a true nightmare to install. And that simply did not please me the night before a long ride.
The bag itself is great though. There is a lot of space to put CO2 and pump, 3 cereal bars, tools, tube, etc. It should say it's a large saddle bag (even without expanding I don't see saddle bags getting much larger than that). But it doesn't feel uncomfortable or get in the way; you can shrink it a bit. Once you figure out the "TWIST" it gets really easy to take it off and switch to another bike (if you have that extra seat clamp) It feels like it will last.

Comments about Novara Expanding Wedge Seat Bag:
I have several bikes: 2 road, 1 MTB, 1 Touring. This bag is pretty much perfectly sized for tools, tube, and a light rain jacket; its easy to take it off and on with the quick release clips .. but ...with three bikes I need to be able to move the bag from bike to bike. REI doesn't sell extra clips [...] My old 'Janda' bag had straps that, altho taking more time than the Novara clips to install/remove the bag, at least are compatible with all bike seats. My new Novara bag (this one) sits on the shelf. Bummer.
Service and delivery comments:
Needed extra clips to permit installation and removal on more than one bike (this would be a great use for this product and its quick release clips).
But, spares are not available in the store or online. I requested customer service to check into and have had no response.

Comments about Novara Expanding Wedge Seat Bag:
I own an earlier version of this bag. I wanted to be able to move it around from one bike to another. All I really needed was another mounting adapter, the part that screws on under the seat. Earlier reviews disagree about whether this adapter is sold separately, but I could not find it. So I bought the whole bag mostly to get the adapter. As noted by several reviewers it comes with no mounting instructions whatsoever.
The mounting adapter is identical to the old one, so my old bag can switch nicely between bikes. The new bag, however, has been reversed front-to back. Now the wide end is in the back, and the narrow end is in the front. The velcro strap for the seat post is now on the narrow end instead of the wide end. The advertised product description still says "Tapered shape moves weight close to the seatpost where it's the most stable", but this is false for the new design.
The main opening for the bag has been moved from the side to the back end. This is probably the reason for flipping the bag around; otherwise you wouldn't be able to open it without removing the bag from the bike. Another drawback of the present design is that the twist mount is much farther from the seatpost, so you have to put the mounting adapter at the very back end of the seat rails to allow the bag to fit behind the seat post.
Bottom line: nice mounting system, but the new bag is much less useful than the old one. Bring back the old bag, sell mounting adapters separately, and include a simple sheet of mounting instructions.

Comments about Novara Expanding Wedge Seat Bag:
Excellent design and plenty of room. My only suggestion for improvement is to make the keyholder snap a bit longer (it is too difficult to open) and to put it on the other side so that it can be accessed with the zipper slightly open rather than fully opened.
