The wireless VDO Z3 PC-Link bike computer includes an integrated heart rate monitor and altimeter, plus a PC interface with PC training analysis software.

Features 16 cycle functions, 17 heart rate functions, 20 altimeter functions, 3 adjustable training zones, 6 timer functions, calorie consumption and temperature
Optional wireless cadence kit sold separately
ANT+Sport® wireless signal coding ensures that only your personal data transmits to your computer without interference from someone else's computer
PC download stores up to 100 hrs. of riding data (maximum of 100 individual trips of 1 hr. each); data records every 20 seconds
All cycling and altimeter data, plus preferred individual settings are downloadable to your PC; also downloads cadence data if option has been added
Docking station with USB-2.0 connection is compatible to Windows XP® and Windows Vista®
Edit and correct transmitted raw data on your PC
Offers graph or spreadsheet trip display based on time or distance axis and allows comparison of 2 training sessions
Software offers administration function for all training sessions (by week, month, year or any other time period or HR levels) as well as software to plan training
HR monitor includes: current, average and maximum HR, time within/below/above the preset heart rate limits in % of total training time, current trip calorie consumption

I only decided to post this after reading the negative review, since I've loved this thing for two years [...]. It's true the battery life is not great (9-12 mos of use?) and there are too many functions that can be a pain to learn, but once you've got it dialed in I couldn't ask for more. Also have a Garmin 707 (much heavier and cumbersome, but also awesome for what it is, love the software) and Cateye wireless (awesome race-only device) but overall this is my favorite esp around tri season. HR, accurate altitude, speed, and simple enough downloads which I rarely use anyway. Not perfect, but my choice for IM Roth this year...

This cyclecomputer failed within one week of purchase. The buttons became stuck in, freezing the unit. REI replaced it, and the second unit lasted 3 months before the same thing happened to it. I returned it for a full refund which REI gave without question. The battery only lasts a couple of months, and when you change the battery, you must re-setup all the wheel sizes, and personal information, which is quite a chore. The buttons are small and hard to operate while on the bike, and impossible with gloves on. There are too many options, requires too much scrolling.

On the good side, the wireless digital transmission is interferance free and bombproof.
