I have plantar fasciitis. My Bite Orthosport sandals have died and there are no replacements. I bought this sandal out of desperation and packed lots of tape - expecting to have to tape my feet to deal with the expected pain. I spent three weeks walking and hiking around two African countries and I never used the tape. Nor did I unpack my hiking boots. It is the most comfortable sandal I have ever worn, bar none.

I bought these before going to Italy and they were comfortable immediately. Didn't have to break them in. They were good on cobblestone pavement, for hiking and in museums. Also could dip my feet in the water to cool off and they still looked fine. Maybe not for dress up but I never even wore the other shoes I brought with me.

My husband has now bought 3 generations of this sandal - he swears by it. He convinced me to try it this time - and now I know I too will continue to buy this sandal when it wears out. From the moment you put it on it is the most incredibly comfortable sandal I have ever owned - you can walk and hike for hours immediately. Only downside is that I would not where them when you have to hike through water. While it is not exactly a stylish shoe, if comfort is what you are looking for (e.g., a trip abroad involving a lot of walking), this is the shoe for you.

I had back surgery last summer and was looking for shoes to wear to walk around New Zealand for a month while still recovering. These sandals felt great in the store (very cushioned and stable)and did not need any breaking in. I wore them every day in New Zealand, even hiking on gravel, and never had any type of soreness or blisters. They continue to look great and I continue to wear them almost every day. They probably aren't the best thing to wear in water because they have some leather parts; but other than that they're the best sandal I've ever bought.

Excellent quality workmanship...Great cushioning in the foot bed;no sweating or slipping around in. These sandals with a Velcro strap both behind and above the ankle are very adjustable, whether you have wider feet or narrow feet as mine are. I have to try on many shoes before I can find something that fits, functions and looks good too! I get a lot of compliments on these.

This could be the world's most comfortable walking sandal. It can be used for light hiking, neighborhood/mall walking or touring your favorite city/destination. True it is pricey but price is what you pay and value is what you get. This sandal offers incredible comfort and value.

These are the most comfortable sandals that I have ever worn, however, they collect sweat, smell horrible and then they make my feet itch! Is there any way to prevent this? I have tried to scrub them with anti-bacterial soap and leave them in the sunlight to dry, but it does not seem to help.

After a serious bicycle accident 7 years ago in which my knee was permanenly damaged, I have had to change my entire shoe collection. Sometimes years pass inbetween finding something I can actually walk in without pain. I have tried many brands of shoes for the "walking-challenged" and so far MBT, Ecco, Roede and Merrell are the only ones I've kept.

I bought these sandals a year ago before a 5 week trip to Italy and I wore them every single day, the whole day and never experienced any discomfort or pain. They are without a doubt the most comfortable sandal I have ever owned, and after a year of use they still look like new.

I have relatively flat feet so that is also a consideration for me, as so many sandals hang slightly loose and fail to support my feet, making me constantly worried they will fall off or make me trip. The Ecco Yucatan sandal has very adjustable straps, they fit my feet and I never even think about the fact that I'm wearing them.

In Europe they were available in all black, not the color combinations I see in the US, but although I prefer the versatile and quite stylish black sandal, I would buy these again even if they only came in some horrific color!

I got these after reading the wonderful reviews and found that they were all true. Comfortable right out of the box and stable and sturdy enough to walk anywhere. I loved them so much that I ordered a second pair in a different color and may just order a third pair. I recommended them to a friend who also bought a pair and she recommended them to her daughter who also bought them.
