Asphalt, dirt, adventure or trekking—the new Stella 200L from Light & Motion packs a long list of features into a very small package.

  • Super-compact, high-output LED bike light is rechargeable weighs in at only 300g
  • Proprietary reflector gives you a clean swath of light that not only focuses in the center but also provides plenty of broad fill light to ride behind
  • Features multiple power settings, giving its user between 5 and 20 hrs. of usable light
  • Batteries don't like to be fully drained, so Stella will flash you when there is roughly 15 min. of run time left
  • If the light isn't shut off before the battery dies, Stella shuts the light down automatically
  • Comes with a simple mount that adjusts to fit standard- and oversize (25.8 - 31.8) handlebars
  • Can also be mounted on your helmet (mount included) or on the new Multi Sport Head Strap, sold separately
  • Smart Charger charges the light to full power in under 4 hrs. and then monitors the battery voltage and shuts off to protect from overcharging
  • Low-battery warning light
  • Additionally, the charger accepts wall voltage from 90 - 260 volts, so charging in the United States and other countries is not a problem
  • Li-ion Cub battery pack is barely larger than a deck of cards, weighing just over 180g; that's less than 7 ounces!

      I had been using a different rechargeable high-power light (a Canadian one called the Nite Hawk K2 Digital Emitter Headlight) for the past few months, riding a lot at night and really liking its strong light, and I was quite bummed when it inexplicably failed a few days ago. Seems that it was a blessing, though, because I've just started using this little Stella, and it seems excellent so far. The Stella is about twice as expensive than my previous light, but I really do need a great light; I chose the Li-ion version because it has better stats than the cheaper NiMH version, [...]. In any case, this Stella is more comfortable (ie. I forget it's there, mounted on my helmet) because it's so light and compact. I tether the wire to the back of my helmet so it doesn't flop around, and I keep the Li-ion battery pack (also quite light, compared to my previous) in one of the back pockets of my cycling jersey. No coiled wires to pull my hair, and the wire is just the right length so there's a little bit of slack. I've found it very easy to get used to this system.Most importantly, the light beam is clean, bright, and well-shaped; I don't anticipate needing or wanting any other lights for quite a while; this one seems great. I have nothing to say about its longevity yet, of course, because I've only had it for a few days...
