Comments about Light & Motion Seca 700 Race LED Bike Light:

LIM really did their research making this light. The split beam pattern is perfect for cycling with the three lower diodes giving a nice wash of the path right under you and the three upper diodes providing a long throw.

The mounting looks funny in the picture and I was apprehensive at first but it comes on and off faster than any light I have owned. It also maintains vertical alignment better than any light I have owned. The use of the rubber strap as a stressed member seems to increase the coefficient of friction.

The strobe setting is great when you are going through dangerous intersections. Turn it on and look at everyone open their eyes and look for the emergency vehicle.

The only thing I could think of to improve on this light would be to have a lowlow setting where only the lower bank of diodes are used as I suspect the majority of the people who buy this light will not shield oncoming cyclists from their light when they are on bike trails. I run a spare light for when I am on the Burke Gilman so I am not one of the irresponsible types that blow other cyclists off the road.

Excellent light, nocest construction of anything LIM has put out. Real testament that "Made in America" can still smoke anything else out there. Not a single regret at the price tag.
