Comments about Ultimate Survival Technologies SaberCut Saw:
Well, after only 2 camping trips, this thing seems to be worth the money. I'm still waiting on the longevity thing (which is why I didn't give it 5 stars, cause I just don't know), but I can only praise it for what it has done for me thus far. I've been able to saw through 10-14" tree limbs and trunks with relative ease. You conserve some wood for the fire by avoiding the whole axe-out-the-middle thing and it really goes by pretty quickly considering how long you typically take to axe a log in half. The only thing it can't do is chop a log into quarters the long way. You'd be silly to try that. Keep the axe on hand, but take this sucka for the first cut.
I included the whole works your back thing as a pro and con because depending on how you look at it, it could be either. I mean, I'm happy that my back is now more muscular and stronger for having used this thing. But I wasn't happy when I was sore the next day.
The straps aren't particularly ergonomic, but they are comfortable for their simple design. They cause blisters after the first several times of using until you build some calluses.
Hands down, I'd buy this again. Get it. Pack it. Hack it.

Comments about Ultimate Survival Technologies SaberCut Saw:
I've taken the product on one trip thus far. Between when I got it and now, I've cut through limbs between 6 and 14 inches in diameter. I'm sure you could go bigger if you had the muscles and the patience.
The thing cuts well. Sometimes it gets caught, but that's usually only with wet wood. Otherwise, its pretty sure. The thing produces small woodchips like a real chainsaw, which I think is pretty cool. Makes me feel like a real man. The end result of each cut is typically a nice smooth edge, as if cut by a real chainsaw. It is really easy to use, and storing it/packing it around with you is even easier. It's really lightweight, which makes it ideal over a hatchet or axe if you're gonna pack.
Cons: If it were ultra sharp, like diamond tipped, that would be sweet, but its not. It gets caught on wet wood sometimes. The handle design is lightweight, which sacrifices comfort. You can get a decently comfortable grip on the thing while you're sawing, but you'll probably end up with blisters until you develop some calluses. It also can't split wood lengthwise, which is why you should bring an axe if you need to do that...
Overall, I'd say its worth it. Definitely worth it. A very good product that I think will only improve as it becomes more popular. And its a genius idea.

The saw would not cut through the logs! I would have a fine time starting to cut into the logs but then the saw would just stop cutting. I returned this item.

Comments about Ultimate Survival Technologies SaberCut Saw:
Myself and a couple of friends used this nice little tool to cut up 14" logs. Although it was a very good workout, it was nice to have the logs cut up into manageable sizes.
My only complaint was the grips for your hands seemed to be a bit smaller than i would have liked.
