Comments about REI Fall Line Ski Pack:
This pack works well for me because it both fits all i need to carry in it and it is comfortable and lightweight. Although it doesn't come with a reservoir it does have the ability to insert one and utilize it in the cold without freezing. perfect for anyone who skis backcountry, fits even wide skis into the ski slings. all in all worth the money.

Comments about REI Fall Line Ski Pack:
After this pack is situated on your back, you can barely feel any weight or shifting when turning on fresh backcountry powder.
Plenty of room for my shovel blade and probe in the front pocket. Probe fits diagonally and shovel handle has its own place on the side of the pack. The main compartment can fit my fleece, jacket, food, water, goggles and climbing skins with ease.
My only complaint is the zippered insulated shoulder strap for water has the tendency to freeze, making the water hose inaccessible.

Comments about REI Fall Line Ski Pack:
Great pack, very comfortable, fits well, even for someone tall (6'4"). The waist belt is very comfortable. But, I have two gripes:
-The zip up strap sleeve for a hydration bladder tube isn't large enough for the Camelback insulated model, which would give you the maximum protection from freezing. If you want to use that type of bladder, you can't run it down the shoulder strap.
-The same sleeve is narrow enough at the end (where the bite valve goes) that it only barely fits a right angle Camelback valve. The result is that it presses on the valve, leaks a little water, and freezes. I've had a few times that the zipper has gotten so frozen I couldn't use the bladder.
Otherwise, I really love this pack.

Comments about REI Fall Line Ski Pack:
pack is extremely comfortable, plenty of storage for a day in the backcountry or small enough for the resort. can carry large powder skis. the only fault is the hydration sleeve is extremely tight to get a insulated camelbak tube into, could have been a little bigger.
