Comments about Merrell Thermo Arc 6 Waterproof Boots - Women's:
I bought a pair of these a year ago on my to live in Alaska. I wore them all last winter when outdoors, and they have been terrific. They are warm and sturdy and they have a good shelf on the heel for the stretchy mini-crampons we wear all the time up here. They also fit great with snowshoes. I have another pair of summer boots and I got these out again in October and they still look brand new. Another thing -- my feet do not get cold and I am out at 0 degrees alot. I put warmers in these one day when I was out at 10 below and I burned my feet.

Comments about Merrell Thermo Arc 6 Waterproof Boots - Women's:
I am a tough customer. I have wide feet, scars from surgery, always cold and numb. I NEVER find shoes that fit right away with out breaking-in pain. I have not had any pain with these boots. The minute I put them on it was so comforting. I bought these for snow-shoeing and also wearing while shoveling. I live at 6500 feet and we can get feet of snow at a time with cold wind. My feet are perfectly warm and the tread is awesome. High-tech tread made of different types of sole that freeze at different temps. Therefore, no matter the temp, you always have traction. Went snow hiking with friends this weekend and I was the only person out of 6 that didn't slip and fall. I really feel like it was because of the boot. Buy these for comfort, but use them for being active. Another plus is that they were lots lighter than the other boots I considered, which leads to less leg fatigue when snow shoeing. I highly recommend these.
