        The higher concentrations of DEET may not evaporate from my skin quickly but that's not the only way it becomes ineffective. I'm sitting here in India, waiting for the spray to dry so that I don't rub it off when I put my clothes on. I'm covered with mosquito bites for the first time in 8 months and it's the first trip when I've used this product. I prefer other products that dry quickly.

            DEET is pretty nasty stuff, but it sure works. Be sure to spray in at least the general direction of all exposed skin. At this concentration it doesn't really create a mosquito repellant "cloud" around you — unfortunately the 100% concentrations only come in pump bottles, which are awkward to use and prone to spilling. This spray plus a dryer sheet clipped to your hat or belt work pretty well together.

            Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

              Just got back from a volunteer project with a side of camping in Oregon right after all the mosquitos hatched. This spray was indispensable. Not only was my entire group (around 10-12 people) happy to have some bug spray, neighboring campers came in search of some. I actually bought this can in Texas working in the summer in parks, and it was indispensable then as well. The previous reviewer might have been in exceedingly humid circumstances, in which no spray really would work if it were hard to dry. This product didn't deserve to be dinged for that though.
