The REI Member Dividend
The REI dividend is a unique benefit of membership in the REI co-op. It's comprised of your member refund—typically 10% back on eligible purchases—and/or your REI Visa® card rebates.
Each March, active REI members and REI Visa cardholders who earned a rebate receive a refund in the form of an annual dividend notice.
Only active members receive annual dividend notices. To maintain your active status as an REI member, you need to make net merchandise or shipping purchases of at least $10 per year, unless you joined that year. Member numbers are issued in one name and only that person receives the member refund. Your number can be used by others in your family, but it cannot be transferred to someone else.

Comments about Ben's 100 Max Formula Insect Repellent - 95 Percent DEET - 1.25 fl. oz.:
Like it shows, it is a very strong formula with close to 100% DEET. It can be very pungent so wouldn't really recommend spraying directly on person or skin...use the less strong formulas for that. I personally would set up the tent and spray around the outside on the bottom...keeps bugs away for days while on the craig away from the tent. If you want it on your person I would recommend on clothing and not direct skin contact. 100% DEET is not really recommended for direct skin contact and could have potentially harmful reactions as it is a neuro toxin; however, DEET alone is not enough to cause harm just when used in conjunction with other neuro toxins. Would highly recommend this product though great repellent.

Comments about Ben's 100 Max Formula Insect Repellent - 95 Percent DEET - 1.25 fl. oz.:
I spent a week in the Amazon rainforest, and wasn't bitten once. Everyone I was with had at least a handful of bites, regardless of the type of spray they used. But not me! This is my go-to now.
Some things to note.
- It is a bit greasy when you apply it, but it's worth it for the repellent affect.
- If you have sensitive skin, you might feel a bit of tingling when you apply it. When I put it on my stomach for the first time, it did this. It went away within 10-15 minutes, and didn't leave a rash or anything, but if you know you have sensitive skin you might want to do a test before bringing it with you as your only spray.
- The sprayer on the bottle basically sucks. You get this tiny spray, so I wound up squirting my hands a few times, then rubbing it on me, because otherwise it didn't cover easily.

I used this product in the Peruvian Amazon jungle. Since it was 100% DEET, I only sprayed my exterior clothing. I used this in combination with a lower DEET concentration lotion which I applied directly to my skin. Between the two products, I had no bug issues. Bugs didn't swarm at all. One bug tried to land on me, but immediately flew away. Just be sure to keep this product away from any plastic material, as it will melt plastic (watchbands, cameras, etc). Only complaint is that that container leaked a little. I had it double-bagged in ziplock bags, so it didn't contaminate anything, but tended to get all over my hands when I pulled it out. I had to be careful not to touch anything until I washed my hands.

Used this in the Shenandoah National Park when the humidity was near 100% and the mosquitoes, ticks, and chiggers were out in full force trying to make me miserable.
Like another reviewer said, this is strong stuff. I only used it in very limited skin spots where I was getting hit hard, outer ear, calves, thats it. Use just one or two pumps max. After application it really cut down on mosquitoes coming near me, however it was so hot within 2 hours I sweated it off and had to reapply another pumps-worth.
Used in conjunction with permethrin treated clothes the bugs will stay away from you, important in areas like SNP with annual reports of lyme disease.

Works great where there are a lot of mosquitos. I've used it in Guatemala and locally. It is very effective for 10 hours or so. After that you have to remember to reapply it. After putting it on your hands may feel a bit greasy, but that sensation goes away after a short time.
