These youth White Sierra Trail pants quickly convert to shorts when the day warms up—perfect for almost any adventure!
- Zip-off pant legs have gusseted, adjustable cuffs that allow the leg sections to slip off easily over footwear
- Lightweight nylon offers UPF 30 sun protection and has a water-resistant finish so they dry quickly

Returned for fit. As other reviewers have mentioned, the cut is wide and short. Youth Size L inseam is a hair under 26.5" long. Unstretched waist (front only, flat) is 13.75" across. If the fit works for you, then you may like the slightly darker khaki, mesh pocket liners that drain, and "R" and "L" labels on the zippers, which save time re-zipping on the trail. For males, note there is no fly; for females, this has the advantage of losing a few grams of pack weight. Lightweight fabric, good for summer but easily layered with long johns. Economical. No bells, whistles, or leg pockets.

Overall a good product and my son likes it. However, first time I saw him at the urinal with his pants down I realized these boys pants don't have a zipper fly! Why wouldn't they include that? It's fine for hiking and camping, but not for school and church because of this. I almost returned them but they do work well during the summer. Still, I would not have ordered them if I knew they didn't have a zipper.

These should be advertised as 'Boys' pants, not 'Youth'. I ordered these for my tall, nearly 10 year old daughter, and the rise in the pants were obviously fitted for boys. My daughter prefers a tighter fit rather than being baggy in the rise.

These are great pants but the waist is much larger than is normal for the size, very loose fitting. My son is quite easy to fit in pretty much every brand of clothing I buy him, he's an average size kid, fit but not unusually thin, and these pants just hung off of him. The size M was too loose and a bit short, while the size L was falling off of him (we could have managed the length otherwise). They are nice fabric, etc., but are not true to size and I have already returned them.

These are the best pants we have ever purchased for our boys. They wear them all the time: school, hiking, camping, backpacking, casual dress. They don't snag when going through brush and hold up well. They do run big. My almost 10 yr old is on the tall side and wears a small. My 13 yr old wears a large. I am going to buy more for them for next year too. This is our 2nd summer with them and they have held up well. Great zip off to turn to shorts and water play. They dry quick!

These looked great and were a great price. Loved the velcro on the legs so that they could be tightened up since they were long, but they wouldn't stay on the kids! My kids are size 6 or 7, but these were WAY too big in the waist. Too bad, I was really hoping they would fit!

My son loves these so much that he asked if we could get him a couple of extras. He is so picky, so this is a strong endorsement for him. He says they are very comfortable.
These pants are versatile. My son wears them on campouts, canoe trips, and to school. That is a strong endorsement.
And they are an awesome deal.
Some reviewers said the sizing was wrong. Maybe the size charts have been adjusted, b/c they seem right on. Based on the measurements on the chart, my son should wear a size L. I ordered size L, and they were a perfect fit.

I really like them. They are lightweight,portable and comfortable.The only problem is the elastic waistband.They feel kind of strange because of it but once you are used to it they are even more comfortable.They are great for hot weather and hiking, where you would want a little more leg room.
