      I wear this on its own for cooler summer days, with a hydroskin vest on fall and spring days, and under a semi dry top for colder winter days.

      I find it extremely comfortable, very well made, and durable. I am starting my 3rd year of wearing mine, and probably paddle with it on average once a week, more when it cooler. Its holding up very well with no signs of wear.

      On breezy days I will add a wind proof layer to keep the wind out.

        I use this shirt almost weekly for kayaking on the Chesapeake Bay. In summer it protects against sun exposure and in winter it becomes my favorite baselayer. After three years it shows few signs of wear. My other favorite top is an REI OXY Tee. By comparison, the REI tee shows some signs of abuse from the washing machine. Considering the price differential, the NRS shirt is probably the better deal.

          My wife decided to save us from the sun and bought us each one of these. I was skeptical at first, but after wearing it a few times I'm sold.

          We kayak in central Texas where it is hot in the summer and yet I stay reasonably cool wearing this shirt and no goopy sunscreen to deal with. Plus, it's kind of fun to wear a shirt that makes you look like a superhero!

          It is very comfortable with no rubbing or chaffing. It dries quickly. I'm not really conscious of it while I wear it.
