      We used this last summer with our 8 month old (17ish lbs 29ish inches). It worked great. He was able to float in the water and sit in the boat just fine. I have some very cute pictures of him "paddling" my brother's kayak "all by himself". We plan on using it again this summer since he is still under the weight limit (26ish lbs and 36 inches).

      Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

        We tried this life vest for my 12month old, she's approx 19lbs and 26" - she cried the entire time wearing this because it was too restricting around her neck and she couldn't sit up while wearing this.
