Misleading spec for a 17" laptop

I purchased this messenger bag for my 17" laptop only to find out that a 17" laptop will not fit in the compartment that is intended for a laptop. There are two main compartments to this bag, the one in the front that the large flap covers and a zippered one in the back of the bag. The zippered compartment in the back is padded and has a Velcro strap for securing a laptop, however, it will only fit a 15" sized laptop. If you want to carry a 17" sized laptop with this bag you will have to place it in the front compartment, which is not padded.

This messenger bag is still top notch quality and very comfortable to wear. I've used it to travel without a laptop and it had plenty of pockets to secure everything I was carrying with me. It just made me a little nervous while carrying my 17" laptop because it wasn't protected with some padding.

As the other reviewer mentioned, this laptop does not fit most 17" laptops in the padded back area which is meant for housing laptops. In fact not even my 15.4" laptop will fit in there, they both fit width-wise but because the back compartment is not as tall as the main area both of my laptops need just slightly more depth to fit.

Both of my laptops do however fit fine in the main compartment but as the other reviewer mentioned it has no padding. I solved that using a cheap targus neoprene 17" notebook sleeve I already had, I cut off the top of the sleeve and then hot glued it into the main compartment, works great.
